I stopped in to see about having a battery replaced and the hands realign on a watch I had gotten at an antique show. They had told me that the cost would be $180 and would include a full service and that would check the seals, movement, ect. I asked if I could just have the battery replaced and the hands realigned and skip the other things, I collect watches and didn’t see the need to spend that kind of money for something I may wear once a week or less. I was told by the manager they could do that for $45 and she handed it off to another women with red hair whom asked for my information. After entering it she took a very rude tone, telling me that they would either do the full service work or no work at all. She mentioned an old Heuer watch I had brought in a few months prior for a battery replacement that I had to bring back the next day because it had stopped running again. She said she wasn’t going to play this “cat and mouse game” with me again. I was very confused and quite frankly embarrassed so I left. I called and spoke to the manager, whom I’ve dealt with in the past and has always been helpful and polite to ask why I was treated so poorly. She apologized and said that they can’t do battery replacements without including full service work which I understand, you wouldn’t want to address an issue on a car without running a diagnostic on the off chance you fix something that actually isn’t the full problem. My issue however is I wasn’t told this when I brought my other watch in originally a few months back, they changed the battery for $20 and gave it back I was never told that they need to do a full service or any work beyond that. My other issue is despite whatever misunderstanding took place there was no need to be rude like that, she made me feel like I was being a cheapskate and scolded me like a child simply because I wasn’t wanting work to be done that I didn’t think was necessary, I simply thought I could have the battery replaced as I had with my previous watch a few...
Read moreI had a box of gold Jewelry from an estate that I had David Scott jewelry go through. I wanted a second quote on purchasing gold. When employee from David Scott gave me a quote, she shorted her quote by 20% not knowing I had a quote from another store. This female said if I do an instore credit, she would add 20% to amount she offered. I already have a number from another store, and it was clear she was trying to pull one over on me. If you add the 20% to the amount she offered, it's the same as other stores offer. Come on guys, this is not a car lot, it's suppose to be a reputable jewelry store. I have been to David Scott in the past, both locations. I have never been given a welcoming feeling. No big smiles, almost an entitled feeling. They really act like they are doing you a favor by helping you. Where's that small...
Read moreI took a picture of a bracelet that I wanted created for my granddaughter for a graduation gift. I gave it to them 1 month in advance and was assured that they could create the bracelet like the picture. It was very important that they inscribe the bracelet. I just picked up the bracelet and it is pretty but but the band is so thin that the inscription is not visible. We took a picture and enlarged it and it still wasn't legible. They did not notify me that the band would be much thinner than I requested, nor did they let me know the inscription would not be visible - I would not have accepted the thinner bracelet. There is no time to fix it because we are traveling this weekend to deliver it. Very disappointed because I had high hopes for...
