Read moreWe were there during the slowest time of the day and it was quiet and pleasant. There were however some disappointing events. First, they mixed up another tables food with ours, so they took the food away and we waited an additional 15 minutes to receive ours. No big deal. Especially because they appologized with two free salads. Unfortunately they brought out the wrong food again. We ordered 2 lunch boxes. One was veggie tempura and the other was veggie and shrimp. They brought out just the tempura on a plate without anything else. We told our waiter that we ordered lunch boxes and he left the tempura at the table. We waited another 15 or so minutes and by the time they brought out the rest of our food which had been combined into one lunch box?...the tempura was cold. We were nice and patient but it was a little rediculous. Especially because we were one of maybe 4 tables in the whole place. What really ticked me off was another waiter who didn't even serve us came over to our treble and said there was a mix up with all our food because someone in the kitchen went on break. HAHA! So basically their whole system collapses when one person goes on break? Okay. *Advice to the staff at this place: When you make a mistake, it is better to just admit they you made a mistake rather then try to come up with an excuse. We ate and then ordered green tea ice cream to share. It was amazing, but for whatever strange reason they gave us one regular spoon and one plastic spoon. So they ran out of spoons I guess. Even though there was almost no one in the resturant. The spoon thing wouldn't be a big deal but this is frozen ice cream, so it was difficult to eat. I love Japanese food and I wish this was a better experience. We arrived around 2:30 and didn't leave until 4:00. I wonder how mixed up and slow things get when they are...
Read moreI gave 2 stars because I didn't actually eat any food which may have been great but I don't know how else to fairly give a review. Me, my wife, and my 3 small kids wanted to grab a late lunch and not eat too heavy because we had dinner plans. We went at about 230 and we're the only customers in the building. First, we noticed as soon as we looked at the menu how expensive our late "lunch" was going to be. We didn't want to over eat so we were going to get something smaller so we weren't too full at dinner and my 3 small kids were just going to order one plate and split it between them because. They eat so little. It is a huge waste of food to bother ordering each of them a plate. First of all me and my wife were going to have to pay about 30$ each for a lunch plate and the kids plate we were going to get was close to 20$ but when we were ordering we were told that there was a 10$ charge per person that splits the food. So now that 20$ kids lunch is 40$!!! It's ridiculous that they're after money based on who enjoyed it and not how much food they give you. I would have spent 100$ on 3 hibachi lunch plates which was absurd enough that we just said thanks but no thanks and left. We continued to pier park and saw a Japanese place where we all ate for about 35$. Even though it would have been more than double that at Osaka I would have paid it because I was already there, but when I saw that they were trying to upcharge us because a 2 year old and her little brother wanted to take a few bites off their 7 year old sisters plate, it was just too ridiculous. They sure as heck wasn't going to give us double the food even though we would be paying double the price... It's a racket. If they don't like kids sharing, then don't make the kids menu prices as much as an adult entree at any...
