Osaka Japanese Restaurant in Panama City Beach, FL, has left me utterly impressed with its impeccable food, exceptional service, skilled cook, reasonable prices, and delightful atmosphere. My recent dining experience at Osaka has undoubtedly earned it a well-deserved five-star rating!

Let's start with the food—the true star of the show. Every bite I took was an explosion of authentic Japanese flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Japan. The sushi rolls were expertly crafted with the freshest ingredients, showcasing a perfect balance of textures and tastes. From the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to the delectable tempura, every dish was a masterpiece of culinary artistry. Osaka's commitment to using high-quality ingredients truly shines through in every bite.

The service at Osaka was top-notch, leaving no stone unturned to ensure an unforgettable dining experience. The staff members were warm, friendly, and attentive, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Their knowledge of the menu was commendable, and they were more than happy to offer recommendations based on our preferences. The waitstaff's professionalism and genuine enthusiasm added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening.

Now, let's talk about the cook—the unsung hero behind the scenes. The culinary skills of Osaka's cook were simply extraordinary. Each dish was prepared with meticulous precision and presented beautifully. Whether it was the artistry displayed in the sushi rolls or the flawless execution of teppanyaki dishes right at our table, the cook's expertise shone through in every aspect of the meal. Their passion for their craft was palpable and contributed to the overall excellence of our dining experience.

One of the most pleasant surprises about Osaka Japanese Restaurant was the affordability of the menu. Given the exceptional quality of the food and the dining experience, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced everything was. Osaka truly offers incredible value for the outstanding quality it delivers. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that provides such an exceptional experience without breaking the bank.

Lastly, let's talk about the atmosphere. From the moment I stepped into Osaka, I was enveloped in an ambiance that exuded sophistication and tranquility. The stylish interior design, combined with soft lighting and tasteful Japanese-inspired décor, created an inviting and comfortable space. The soothing background music further enhanced the overall atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a meal with friends, family, or even for a special occasion.

In conclusion, Osaka Japanese Restaurant in Panama City Beach, FL, is a true gem. The culinary mastery showcased in their dishes, the attentive service, the skill of their cook, the affordability, and the delightful atmosphere all come together to create an exceptional dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Osaka to anyone seeking an authentic and memorable Japanese dining adventure. Prepare to...

We were there during the slowest time of the day and it was quiet and pleasant. There were however some disappointing events. First, they mixed up another tables food with ours, so they took the food away and we waited an additional 15 minutes to receive ours. No big deal. Especially because they appologized with two free salads. Unfortunately they brought out the wrong food again. We ordered 2 lunch boxes. One was veggie tempura and the other was veggie and shrimp. They brought out just the tempura on a plate without anything else. We told our waiter that we ordered lunch boxes and he left the tempura at the table. We waited another 15 or so minutes and by the time they brought out the rest of our food which had been combined into one lunch box?...the tempura was cold. We were nice and patient but it was a little rediculous. Especially because we were one of maybe 4 tables in the whole place. What really ticked me off was another waiter who didn't even serve us came over to our treble and said there was a mix up with all our food because someone in the kitchen went on break. HAHA! So basically their whole system collapses when one person goes on break? Okay. *Advice to the staff at this place: When you make a mistake, it is better to just admit they you made a mistake rather then try to come up with an excuse. We ate and then ordered green tea ice cream to share. It was amazing, but for whatever strange reason they gave us one regular spoon and one plastic spoon. So they ran out of spoons I guess. Even though there was almost no one in the resturant. The spoon thing wouldn't be a big deal but this is frozen ice cream, so it was difficult to eat. I love Japanese food and I wish this was a better experience. We arrived around 2:30 and didn't leave until 4:00. I wonder how mixed up and slow things get when they are...

I gave 2 stars because I didn't actually eat any food which may have been great but I don't know how else to fairly give a review. Me, my wife, and my 3 small kids wanted to grab a late lunch and not eat too heavy because we had dinner plans. We went at about 230 and we're the only customers in the building. First, we noticed as soon as we looked at the menu how expensive our late "lunch" was going to be. We didn't want to over eat so we were going to get something smaller so we weren't too full at dinner and my 3 small kids were just going to order one plate and split it between them because. They eat so little. It is a huge waste of food to bother ordering each of them a plate. First of all me and my wife were going to have to pay about 30$ each for a lunch plate and the kids plate we were going to get was close to 20$ but when we were ordering we were told that there was a 10$ charge per person that splits the food. So now that 20$ kids lunch is 40$!!! It's ridiculous that they're after money based on who enjoyed it and not how much food they give you. I would have spent 100$ on 3 hibachi lunch plates which was absurd enough that we just said thanks but no thanks and left. We continued to pier park and saw a Japanese place where we all ate for about 35$. Even though it would have been more than double that at Osaka I would have paid it because I was already there, but when I saw that they were trying to upcharge us because a 2 year old and her little brother wanted to take a few bites off their 7 year old sisters plate, it was just too ridiculous. They sure as heck wasn't going to give us double the food even though we would be paying double the price... It's a racket. If they don't like kids sharing, then don't make the kids menu prices as much as an adult entree at any...

We showed up about 30 minutes before closing and were told that hibachi seating had ended 15 minutes before. So if you plan to sit hibachi, make sure to be there well before their posted closing time. That would have been fine, we understand some restaurants do that, so we just asked for a table. The only seats open were at the sushi bar as they were still quite busy, and there were still people coming in after us. The problem was that the meal was not at all relaxed. It felt so rushed. I think the employees were just ready to get out of there, and while they weren't rude, they made no attempt to be very welcoming or to hide their eagerness to go home. The service was fine, just one thing rushed right after another, or even together, as in the soup and salad arriving all at once. Regarding the food. The sushi was fantastic. The soup was bitter and we didn't like it. The The rest of the food was fine, but nothing to write home about. But fine is not what you expect when you drop $100 on a meal, and you also don't expect it to be served like fast food. Overall, I'd probably not be motivated to visit again. There's a hibachi express place we visit that honestly has just as good- or maybe better- food for less than half the price. We chose here because we wanted the experience and the ambience you expect when going to a Japanese steakhouse, and sadly, that was just lacking.

My daughter and I went to Osaka for lunch. At first, all was well—our waiter was friendly, and we ordered water, edamame, and the 2-sushi-roll special for each of us. We both love sushi, and the rolls we did eat were actually pretty tasty. Unfortunately, mid-bite my daughter found a hair in one of her rolls. It was blonde like ours, but perfectly straight—our hair is curly. At first, we thought maybe it was ours and tried to pull it off the sushi, but it was tucked under some of the rice like it had been rolled right in. I quietly mentioned it to our waiter, hoping to keep it private, but instead it became a full production—suddenly 3–4 staff members were at our table, comparing hair like we were in CSI: Sushi Edition. Yes, they all had black hair, but could none of them have a significant other with a different hair type? Someone who hugged them goodbye in the morning and—oops—left a souvenir? Stranger things have happened. I tried to keep it low-key, so we just set her sushi aside and she shared mine. When the bill came, it was still the full amount. We paid in full and even left a 20% tip, but I walked out feeling like we’d just been put on trial for “attempted dine and dash by hair plant.” It’s a shame, because the sushi we did eat was good. But after that scene, we won’t be back—my appetite for drama is even smaller than my appetite for hair in my food.
