We have been talking about trying this place for months as there has been a lot of social media hype. I’m not sure if it was so overhyped that living up to expectations would’ve been close to impossible or if maybe they’re still working out the kinks, but we are really sad to report that we didn’t *love* Copps. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it wasn’t something to rave about. The girl on the phone had to be new, as it was fairly difficult to communicate our order and get it read back to us accurately, but as to be expected with a new restaurant. Our order was correct when we picked up, so that was a plus! We had the sweet chili wings and spicy bbq wings which were pretty good. My husband said they needed more sauce, but I thought there was plenty. For me, the wings were much better than the pizza. We had the pork burnt end pizza (big KC BBQ fans here, so always looking to find something close to what we love here in Omaha) and we got a create your own simple beef & pepperoni pizza. This way we could try something unique but also try a classic in an attempt to get a good assessment. The burnt end pizza was better than the beef/pepperoni combo. But where was the cream cheese people talk about? I didn’t taste any until my very last bite and it was minimal. My husband didn’t taste it at all. The beef/pepperoni pizza barely had any sauce on it, so it was sadly super dry and lacked flavor. The meat could use more seasoning for sure. We did like the crispier crust, but again, not much flavor there either. Very bland. Overall, for the hype and high price, we were left somewhat disappointed. They also quoted 20 minutes on our order and it was closer to 45 minutes, so that was frustrating for my husband to drive out in the cold and wait that whole time. A positive though, they offered a military discount, which is always appreciated. Since Copps is close to home, we will eventually give it another shot and try some different items. We have pizza Sunday every week and would love to add this to our rotation, but we are going to have to find one with a little more flavor. My husband said if nothing else, we will have to come back after COVID and enjoy the cool indoor atmosphere. Shadow Lake is a great location and we want them to do well! My husband would give it 3 stars, I would give 3.5. I rounded up to 4 because I really really want to love this place. Here’s to trying it for better luck next time!

Came in (for our first time) to place a to-go order after work. Let's start with the good...the woman who eventually took our order was pleasant. The crab Rangoon loaded fries, gluten free Parmesan garlic wings and brocolini were great. Note to my fellow gluten free friends, the GF wings are breaded so don't be alarmed. I even had to ask for clarification. Now, with the less than good...from the start there was absolutely NO greeting when we came in nor a "We'll be right with you", nada. The restaurant was not even busy around 4pm. The staff seemed to either look right through or over me and my husband. SUPER slow service! One kind lady asked if we had been helped sometime after we had been sitting at the bar WITH menus that I had to ask for. She said another woman would take our order. And we continued to wait. We even contemplated walking out. While we were sitting waiting at the bar I took note of a woman standing near us at the bar for an extended time (also not greeted or told she would be assisted soon). She was there to pick up an order. Finally, when she was attended to she received an apology for her wait. Then another guy came in to pick up his phone order...his order was lost because they took his name down wrong. And still...we waited, at least our order was put in by that time. When our order came we literally could have walked out without paying because the woman never cashed out our order. Only because we are honest folks we told the lady we had not paid yet. All in all...we were very underwhelmed with the customer service and attentiveness of the staff. The food was great. Giving no less than 4 stars, giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt...maybe they were having an off day.

Started off the evening of Friday 3/7 decent we got our drinks, and ordered the birria nachos for an appetizer. For $15 you only get about a quarter of a pound of shredded beef, piled onto a bowl of tortilla chips. The sauce that was drizzled on top was cold, served just that: chips, “birria”, and queso. Which is fine sometimes I want an American-styled nacho, but I ordered a pepperoni pizza with hot honey added onto it. You would have figured it would still have red pizza sauce as a base and a hot honey drizzle on top. Not the case. The base was hot honey sauce, layered with cheese, 400 pepperonis, and another layer of hot honey on top. I was surprised. In shock. My dinner had turned into a sugar ant’s dream. But all water under the bridge. The server was really slow. Not with her speed or anything. I mean that was terrible too, but mentally she is gone. If you told me she was on a drug cocktail; I would believe you. I forgive you. That’s not your fault. But I can’t forgive this: The cinnamon PIZZA CRUST bread. 0 (zero) flavor. So much so you have to serve it with a BOWL OF ICING. I WASN’T TRYING TO GET HIGH OFF OF SUGAR. THAT’S PROBABLY WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE SERVER. OMG.
