I have never left a negative review in my life. However, my family spent over $70.00 for this unfortunate meal and would have rather eaten at home or fast food. The standard at this restaurant was very poor. Where do I start? The prezel bites we had as our starter, was nothing more than a slice of bread. No salt or parmesan cheese to inhance the flavor, very bland and boaring. My son and I split the Fiesta Burger. The tator tots were amazing, but the burger it's self had no distinct flavor. The bottom bun was soggy and unappearling to the eye. It was an utter disappointment. My mother had Mom's Sloppy Joe, there was maybe an ounce of meat on her sandwich. The fries had no taste, very bland. McDonalds fries are better than Wahlburgers. My husband and my other son had the Super Melt. It had a very unpleasant taste, unpalatable to eat. Their onion rings lacked flavor. The breading and seasoning were missing from them.
Honestly, I never complain in a restaurant, because I used to work as a waitress myself, so I know what its like sometimes, but for god's sake, if you charge people, a bit of money, you must give something back. The whole expereince was dismal. We will never go there again !!! It was terrible! Don't be fooled, the food is nothing like what you see and hear on their show. We were all very disappointed and sad that our first taste of Wahlburgers had to be like this. Any fast food would have been a...
Read moreStopped in for the first time with the family at the HyVee at Shadow Lake. Kind of a weird setup, or just new to me since I've never been. It's its own restaurant, but you order outside in the deli area of HyVee, then go in, and they bring you the food. Also, I would have thought they would have their own restrooms given they are a restaurant, but you have to go out into the main grocery store area for that. Not a big dea though given it's a collaboration with the grocery store. The food took a bit longer than expected to come out, but nothing too crazy. The staff that brought our food were very friendly. The restaurant area itself is very clean and well kept looking. Our food was also pretty tasty and fairly priced. I ordered tater tots with my burger and they were cooked perfectly... Golden crisp on the outside, soft inside, and nicely salted. For my main, i ordered the Wahlbuger. I ordered mine medium, but it was more medium rare than a true medium. Tasty nonetheless. Overall, it was a good experience--clean facility, reasonable prices, friendly staff, tasty food, and heck, if you eat here first, you won't go shopping hungry and maybe save some on your grocery bill lol! Definitely worth trying out if you...
Read moreI was very hesitant to go here from all of the negative reviews, but I'm really glad I ignored them. My wife and I took our girls here yesterday night since it was the last night of kids eat free. All of our cheeseburgers were extremely fresh, hot and tasted great. Our girls are picky eaters and they ate all of there food and loved it. The onion rings are a bit off putting the way they look, but they taste WAY better than they look. The fries were a little bland and slightly undercooked, but after putting a little salt on them they were still very good. I got my "Wahl" sauce on the side of my burger, because I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not, but I thought it was delicious. Had a ketchup like taste, but something was added to it that gave it a very unique smooth tasty flavor. The prices were a bit high, but if they keep giving out that quality of food, we will definitely be back. Service was also great. The woman that helped us put our order in was very helpful/friendly and made ordering very easy for our first time. We were then checked on 2 different times by a very polite gentlemen after we got our food. Overall very great experience for me...
