Las Famosas — Restaurant in Paradise

Went two nights ago. Went through the drive thru. I ordered 2 carne Asada tacos, one carnitas combo and a shrimp ceviche tostada. I waited for 30 minutes in the drive thru. There were multiple cars behind me and they all left because it was taking so long. I would have left, too, if I didn’t already pay and if someone would have came to the window to let me know what was going on. I would have canceled my ordered and asked for a refund.

Anyway, besides the wait, the food was not good. The carnitas was nothing like ive seen before. My boyfriend wouldn’t even eat it. It was all mushy. The carne Asada tacos were so small and I paid 3.75 for each one. I would have went to Pepe’s and got the combo meal for $10 that gives 3 tacos and the rice and beans and it’s actually good. The ceviche tostada was all lettuce. I have never had lettuce on my tostada before ANYWHERE. There was no taste and just a huge glob of guacamole thrown on top. I spent $24 on garbage. Their Torta Gigante was good we ordered La Paquita, but cashier was not welcoming, could work on there customer service. Ordered Carne Asada Fries for my kids, had barely any meat, I asked for them to add beans to them so they tried to put more beans than meat, I guess.? They did add more meat when I let them know, cashier let me know that "those were their portions" still the fries were not cooked well they were soggy and not crisp. Paid $11 for them which is the most I have ever paid for some Carne Asada Fries, to be honest. I'm also from San Diego, and know a good taco shop when I find one unfortunately...

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE LEAVING! I frequently go to this location and 3 times my order has been wrong but the food was decent so I did not complain. Last night my order was wrong AGAIN but this time whoever's food i received; which was 4 chicken tacos; was definitely not tasty. I called and left a message with my info on the number Google provided. I called again today and a woman who spoke no English said the location's name but then hung up on me as I was explaining the issue. DECENT FOOD QUESTIONABLE SERVICE! I called the number back and it went to voice-mail so I left another message...
