Nestled in the heart of the city, Casa Di Amore offers an authentic Italian culinary journey that's sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. My recent visit to this charming Italian restaurant left me with a lasting impression, and I'm pleased to rate it four out of five stars.
Ambiance (4/5): The moment you step inside Casa Di Amore you're enveloped in an inviting atmosphere that transports you to the heart of Italy. The warm, rustic decor, complete with cozy candlelit tables, creates an intimate and romantic setting. Read moreWhere do i start? I frequent this restaurant ALOT but last night was a different experience than i ever had and i think i am officially done with this place due to the lack of customer service. Not once did my waitress come back to table. I had to constantly wave down other busy “don’t bother me” attitude and waitresses for simple things like salt and a refill on my wine. Finally towards the end when i said something to a passing waitress like hello i haven’t seen my waitress since my food came and I’m done eating eatng now. Was trying to order a carry out but at that point i was done eating and was going to have to wait longer now for the carry out! I asked to speak to the manager. A mid aged woman with her hair up came to speak to me and literally could care less. I told her i was a frequent and brought my brother from out of town to one of my “favorite” restaurants and it has been nothing short of an embarrassment of a recommendation. Finally after i spoke to the manager she told me “thank you for that feedback”, rather then WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT. nothing, she didn’t care to fix it. I finally asked her for some extra meat sauce to take home and after the horrible experience i just shared with the manager she had the nerves to say “we usually charge but I’ll take alive it this time” COMPLETELY under appropriate to say given the circumstances. I’ve worked in upscale dining before and this was the most horrible experience experience ever. I usually go her for Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day and Father’s Day but last night August 10 just left a horrible taste in my mouth. The waitress came to me at the end blaming another table gave her such a hard time so that’s why she was unable to attend to us OUR ENTIRE MEAL. Again completely unprofessional. As someone who was waitstaff before, you ask your manager for help. Although this particular manager was so rude and clearly didn’t want to be there, she probably wouldn’t have helped anyways.
One further complaint aside from the horrible service is on their website it states they have complimentary shuttle to and from the strip but when my bother called to utilize that service they actually charge $20 per person. All around weird...
Read moreThis was our first time being here and we were let down from the beginning. We had a reservation and still made us wait 19 minutes, before being sat down. Their was plenty of tables available, we don’t know what was the wait but that they weren’t ready. We were behind two other parties that also complained about waiting. We asked for a high chair but didn’t have one workable , so we got a booster chair. It was so unsafe for our two year old, as we were sat at a booth.
The service was horrible, we started with drinks - he brought our drinks, just to tell us that the coke was flat (so gave my kids flat soft drinks) and told me he would come back for my drink and never did. We then asked for real drinks (adult beverages), they came out when our entrees came out. Everything we got was disappointing and very sad. This was Mother’s Day and this meal was supposed to be amazing, but it was far from it. When we got our food, everything had problems and everything was pointed out respectfully to the waiter.
Croutons on the salad were soft and some of the lettuce on the salad was frozen. The chicken fettuccine - the chicken cubes weren’t cooked all the way. The shrimp scampi was over cooked and the Sorento Salmon was soaked in a puddle of butter which made no sense. The large pizza was so oily, even my kids were disappointed. The only thing we liked were the fries.
Besides the food being a disappointment, our waiter became a magician and disappeared for a while. Other customers also complained about the restaurants disappearing waiters and of course nothing was done. At the end he brings us our check to see he added 20% gratuity for a party of six. I said, how is this possible when my baby is two years old. He said that he’ll get the manager to remove it but it’s customary for a party of six. I was pretty upset and said that the baby didn’t count as technically a party of six, your service was horrible, food wasn’t good and you want to pull a forty dollar tip?
This was Mother’s Day, so you can imagine we’re never coming here or recommending this...
