We visited this establishment on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. It is located in the Cosmopolitan hotel on the second floor right by the Chandelier Bar. It was my birthday, so I decided to make a pitstop here and get a birthday cake slice. Once we were attempting to order and got to the counter, there was a very rude gentleman that stepped in front of us after he had already ordered. He was attempting to pay for the ice cream he ordered, so I’m assuming he didn’t pay for it initially. I’m not sure as to why the employees didn’t ensure he payed for his ice cream before he received it. He totally interrupted us and gave my boyfriend a curt “excuse me”, as he stepped in front of us and put his card in to purchase his ice cream. This was after we had already gotten to the counter and addressed the employee stating that we wanted a slice of birthday cake. I think it’s a bit disappointing that the employee didn’t make him step behind us in line, since we had already ordered and were just about to pay for the birthday cake. I feel like this was very rude and disrespectful to us as customers. It’s a shame that the employee didn’t make him have some manners and decency towards another customer that was paying for an item. After that incident, we had to regroup and re-describe what we wanted. It was almost like we had reset and started the whole process over. We had just told her what we wanted before he decided to step in and interrupt us completely. Because we are decent people, we didn’t cause a scene and we decided to let it roll off of our backs. The employee did apologize to us after the guy paid and left, but I felt that they should’ve made him get behind us in line. Another solution would’ve been to have another employee come up and finish ringing him up. There was initially someone else that serviced him when we got there, so I don’t see why they couldn’t serve him again. It would’ve meant we could’ve received quality service at the counter like the paying customers we were. We started again and told the employee that we wanted a slice of birthday cake, which was $13. This little kiosk is cute, bright, and clean. They do have an A health score, which is comforting to know. Especially considering this is a busy kiosk in the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas hotel. It didn’t take long for her to box up our slice of birthday cake. It came in a cute little box that said Milk Bar on it. Keep in mind, they do not take any cash. It’s only credit or debit cards accepted as form of payment. It’s quite unfortunate that they don’t take cash. If somebody wanted to leave them a tip, how would they do so. They have no tip jar and they don’t accept cash at all. They have a variety of sweet treats including: Shakes, Milk Bar pie, Birthday cake, or Chocolate birthday cake. They also have Gluten-free options. I noticed they have a Gluten-free birthday cake by the slice, you could also purchase. They also have Cake truffles, Ice cream, and Coffee beverages. I think the two most popular items are: the Milk bar pie and the Birthday cake slice. They also have combination packages which include a Milkshake and a Cake slice. Once we received our cake, we went over to one of the commons seating areas to enjoy it. I did put birthday candles on the cake and my boyfriend sang Happy Birthday to me. The cake itself was pretty good. It was moist and had a nice balance of cake and icing. At the end of eating the cake, we did enjoy the little cake crumble pieces on the top. I would say this is a great place to go if you want to slice of cake. but you don’t want to hassle of trying to go to the store to get it. I do feel like the slice of cake was a pretty good size and could be shared between two people. Especially if they don’t have a huge sweet tooth at the time. Of course it’s a little bit over priced since it is Las Vegas, but I felt like for the convenience it was worth $13. Also it was my birthday and I wanted to try it. I wouldn’t not recommend this place, but I would definitely say they need to work on ensuring that their customers are...
Read moreFor $80 a cake the service is trash. I have a Milk Bar location 3 miles away which is where I thought I was ordering my delivery from…turns out it was from 9 hours away. My order confirmation email stated that I would receive an email with tracking when it shipped. No email ever was sent. When I panicked and emailed customer service, they provided me a tracking number and another confirmation of the expected delivery date by 9pm. The scans show at 4:45AM the day before I set my delivery date, the order was being shipped. By 4:30PM the day before it had been scanned as in transit, still 9 hours away. By 5PM the day it was supposed to arrive it was scanned IN MY CITY. And at 7PM the day it was supposed to arrive the shipping company then updated it would not arrive until END OF THE DAY the following day (one day late). So not only did it not arrive by the date I set with Milk Bar, it is now going to take over 48 hours from its start point to arrive. The fact that it isn’t even made a priority for first delivery the next day is what makes it worse, since end of the day makes it too late for the event it was purchased for. Also the fact that it was in my city with 4 hours to go in my delivery window and it was just pushed to the end of the following day, is also unacceptable. Why would you ship from 9 hours away when you have a local location?? NEVER ORDER FROM MILK BAR - I KNOW I...
Read moreThis is located in the Cosmopolitan Hotel on the second level, so it's a fun atmosphere and the neon sign and display is attractive/eye-catching. I have been to the original Milk Bar back in the day (NYC East Village, Brooklyn) and other outposts (Toronto), so was curious how this would be...I didn't make the trek here on purpose (I dont' think I would bother to come otherwise). Just stumbled upon it and thought I would get some cookies and a 'cereal milk latte'. Service was friendly, the lines were not too long, and the product is very 'commercially made' and less 'homemade' tasting, but this has been the case for many years. I can't complain, it was 'fine'. The new thing was the cereal milk latte, which was just ok. It tasted like if I put Horlicks (malt drink powder) in coffee, which wasn't worth the inflated price, in my opinion. I would probably just try to get a normal latte at a real coffee shop next time because that would taste better (there is a Starbucks on ground level and I should have done that). Cookies were fine (got corn cookie, marshmallow cornflake, and compost cookie). I actually have the milk bar cookbooks and prefer baking the homemade versions these days. I don't think this had anything that 'special' and wouldn't go out of my way to come here. And, if you want to try it there are many recipes online, so I would recommend people do that if they can't get to a Milk...
