Roberto's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Paradise

It was kinda tucked away behind 711 and a homeless person with a bedspread draped over his head looking like homeless geezus, standing in front of the shop looking thru the trash. It doesn't bother me that he was doing that but homeless rate does bother me and the fact that he HAS to do that to eat and get some nutrients bothers me. Help feed the hungry people of America. We can't afford to feed other countries when we have our own fellow citizens out on the streets doing anything necessary to survive. It's not that they're bad people out to hurt anyone but they've been done wrong by society and pushed under the rug like the plague. Have you ever been homeless for more than 6months? How about a year or more? Throughout all the seasons hot and cold bearing thru the outdoor weather and withstanding harsh temperatures? If everyone that knew a homeless person helped them get to a point where they felt accepted and clean, their self esteem would rise tremendously and our issue would decrease immensely and our loved ones will be able to live life the way it was meant for them. Help your friends and family no matter the self destruction they are going thru bcuz it can save a very kind loving soul from turning into a stranger who possess the darkest demons and turns on you in the dark. Yesterday before work, around 10:35 am, I visited this Robertos for 3 rolled tacos w guac. My total was an odd number w the change ending in 7 cents. I handed the cashier $10.07. My change was $5.20. The cashier was upset i gave her the .07 and was telling me "this doesn't help me". I tried to explain to her my change and she didnt understand why i was giving her $10.07 instead of just $10.00 and talking all the change i didn't want. In arguing w me she handed me my .20 and and was speaking spanish as she pushed me aside for her next customer. I wanted to see if she'd alert me to the $5.00 she didnt hand me...i got my veggies @ the salsa bar. She waited on 2 more groups of 2..and i looked @ her with my .20 and receipt in hand and she then replied.."Oh I owe you $5. Here you $5." Cute. She was upset that she doesnt understand american money transactions so she tried to rob me of my $5. To bad i have knowledge of 3rd grade american math. When i learned money and how to make proper change. And just and FYI, I too speak Spanish and i heard her tell the man making my tacos to "have fun" and i reported the store and...

I didn't realize that there even was a Roberto's in this building's row of businesses honestly. Location directly on Maryland Parkway however the entrance does not have a parking lot in the front, you can park in the parking garage and enter from the back I found out though.

the staff were friendly enough despite the language barrier. I know enough Spanish to get my point across. haha 😅

there is one row of tables you can sit and eat at, but it's such a small area it seemed to be very crowded and too close together for my liking. I decided to take my food out to the back patio where there are a few tables and chairs, which was nice. I liked being able to chose.

there are two restrooms and they were both fairly clean. had to ask for the key to enter, but that's no big deal.

my order was made promptly and correctly, and the food was good and hot. I ordered a breakfast 🍳 🥓 🧀 burrito 🌯 combo plate (w/ 🫘 and 🍚) and had a Coke as a fountain drink.
