Tried Urth Caffe Wynn Las Vegas for our brunch meal in December 2021 since we didn't have breakfast as we had to leave home very early to catch the direct flight to Las Vegas. Urth Caffe sources local products and promotes sustainability to the core, offering organic coffee and fine teas, as they claim.
First impression: A very congested place, not having enough seating, long lines around the Cafe even affecting other pedestrian traffic, uncleaned small tables around the balcony sitting area and not enough seating even inside the Caffe. Disappointing!
We continued to stand in line for almost 30 minutes. Yet, it's pretty popular, though! Urth has a global presence, even in Dubai, U.A.E. One of my family members had to sit down somehow at the small balcony table after playing musical chairs! The cafe was really crowded even shortly after 12:00 P.M. The inside dining area was no different!
Finally, it was our turn. We gradually moved to the inside dining area after closely watching for the opportunity, besides being patient. The table wasn't even cleaned inside, either!
We ordered French toast, hot chocolate, Chicken Margherita Pizza, and probably even Eggs Benedict or the Avocado dish, veggie pizza, besides English Tea. The chicken pizza was great, and so was the French toast. The hot tea: Very watery, and it was clear that they didn't know how to make it without even considering the fact that milk and sugar also still had to be added to it. It was pathetic and a total waste of money contrary to their high claims.
The cafe in itself was very expensive and not worthwhile due to their environment, being very crowded, lack of cleanliness and attention, seating being scarce, and absence of ample amenities or conveniences. I wouldn't recommend the dine-in option and would suggest you order online.
We ordered the same French toast and the Chicken and Veggie Pizza separately from our hotel online on the following day. The order was missing an item totally. The cafe had to be contacted. We were refunded the amount and asked to reorder it and they provided the same...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI understand that, but why then was it that it took 30 minutes for someone to tell us there was a mistake instead of lying to our faces that the food was āon its wayā? We would have been happy to place another order! Why should we be punished for a cashier that āhas been making a lot of mistakesā even though our order was read back to us and confirmed.
We ultimately were given a muffin (which was stale and had to be thrown out one bite in) and no latte (oh well no biggie)
We donāt care about the food going missing on our order, or the muffin being stale, or even the 30 minute wait to be given an answer. What we do care about is being lied to about the status of our food, making it seem like it was our fault, and making out our request for a pastry/latte to be egregious in light of the circumstances (mind you this request was made before we even know the food didnāt make it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was excited to go to Urth Cafe bc I used to live in LA but this place was a disappointment and QUITE expensive. Got breakfast the day before - Breakfast burrito- doesnāt come with meat which is strange. The burrito wrap was flimsy and couldnāt hold the burrito like the chewy tortillas I am used to. It was tasty but needs some meat options. Huevos Rancheros- was mostly bean and some soy chorizo (maybe it isnāt meat?), with like 4 tortilla chips. The chips were thick and good but so little for a very beany breakfast. They boast about their eggs and those seemed delish. Pistachio latte cold - was pretty sweet and hard to eat bc it was more a sweet dessert like a shake. You have to really love pistachios to down this sweet drink.
The next day we got: Spanish granita latte iced sugar free - didnāt taste good but I needed the caffeine. The sugar free syrup was yucky and couldnāt taste any espresso.
Avocado toast- good but needed some more tomatoes (about 3 sweet cherry tomatoes halved on the side) or an egg or fresh veggies or balsamic vinegar to cut through the very thick toasted bread and thick avocado. The toast was delish but so thick.
Prosciutto and egg panini- was fine nothing fantastic but what you would expected. Nice thick fluffy egg that helped balance salty prosciutto and cheese.
Almond croissant- I love almond croissants but this was one of the worst Iāve eaten. The almond paste was so sweet and sugary and the croissant was just weak. Donāt know how to explain. Just not good and couldnāt finish it and I hate wasting food.
The avocado toast, panini, 2 drinks and almond croissant came out to be $64. WAYS expensive for what I didnāt get to really enjoy. I will not come here again sadly. Too expensive and I can trust Paneraās stuff more as it has a better taste and...
