Cafe Al Teatro quickly became my morning haven, especially since my workday kicked off at the ungodly hour of 4:30 am. Let me tell you, they know how to kickstart your day right!
First off, let's talk about their overnight oats. Talk about love at first bite! Creamy, hearty, and packed with goodness, it's like a warm hug for your stomach every morning. Seriously, if you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out.
Now, onto the croissants. Oh boy, where do I even begin? The regular croissant is a fluffy, buttery masterpiece that hits the spot every time. It's like biting into a cloud of deliciousness. But wait, there's more! The almond croissant, while not my personal favorite, still has its charms. It's got that lovely almond flavor, but I found it a tad too wet inside for my liking. And lastly, the chocolate Nutella croissant. Now, this one's a game-changer. Decadent, indulgent, and oh-so-satisfying, it's like dessert for breakfast.
But if I had to pick a favorite, I'd stick with the classic regular croissant. Sometimes, simplicity is key, you know? And let's not forget to mention, the service was great too! The staff always greeted me with a smile, making my morning routine that much more enjoyable.
Overall, Cafe Al Teatro has become my go-to spot for starting my day on the right foot. With their delicious offerings, cozy ambiance, and fantastic service, it's the perfect place to fuel up and tackle whatever the day...
Read moreThis place was absolute mayhem behind the counter… at every station. Workers were scrambling around with bags of bagels everywhere, and seemed to have no idea for how to organize themselves. I stood for 10 minutes waiting on my drinks and observed that NO drinks came out at all during that time, even though there were at least 3 people trying to manage the drink machine in what also seemed like a state of panic and more disorganization. At least one of the people at the register was not capable of managing a customer who needed a full 15 minute consultation for his order (he was placing his order when I got in line and was still at it 15 minutes later). A similar “consultation” was also actively going at the same time with two customers at the pastry case with one of the line cooks. By the time I left, there were 30 people standing in line to order and counting, and at least 15 of us waiting on our food or drinks to be ready. This was not an issue caused by the volume of customers, but the case of a complete breakdown behind the counter. Where was the manager in all of this? … were they out back on a vaping break? I saw no one who seemed to be in charge or attempting to put this wrecked train back on the tracks? I saw at least 10 staff struggling to manage with what they had, exclusive...
Read moreIt only took one glance at the gelato selection and my heart was sold on getting a scoop for myself.
The beauty of this Cafe is that it has extended hours. This review is specifically for the cafe express section which is open til 2am typically.
I wanted an ice cream cone for a single scoop but it cost $10 for a double scoop cone regardless of if you only wanted one in the first place. Despite covid, they are still doing samples which is great because I was set on either the pistachio or the mango custard gelato.
They do have an assortment of beers as well which is great because we got to try Wynn’s very own lager called Singing Frog for $8. You can also have this one on tap at Parasol Up/Down for $9 if you want the 16 oz. If you’re a fan of blondes, then you will like this beer. Very light and easy.
Flavor of the gelato was great! Although at about midnight I did find myself struggling to finish it. They do add a cute garnish of pistachio bark on top of the ice cream cone. In retrospect, I would have preferred if they toned it down a bit because it felt like sweetness overload.
Overall, still enjoyed my treats and plan to come...
