Went there on the evening of Mother's Day. Called before we left home and they told us there was no wait but when we got there literally a few minutes later they told us that there was a 30-minute wait. They did indicate that it was a busy time of evening but there was only one family of four in front of us. The front desk attendant offered to split us up at two separate tables even though there was a table right next to the front of the restaurant that was cleaned and nobody was sitting at. We asked if we could sit there and he seemed unsure but reluctantly said we could. He seemed very unsure of himself overall, very confused and not trained properly. Once seated it took at least 10 minutes for a waitress to take our order and we told her that we would like the appetizers served before our dinner. We proceeded to wait an hour without any food being delivered to our table (during which time the waitress never came over, never offered refills on our drinks, and there was no communication from anybody) and when we finally flagged down the waitress to find out why the food wasn't ready she said that the restaurant was taking care of to go orders and inside dining orders and they were way behind. It would have been nice to have been notified way before an hour had passed, of this issue. And at this point she had said they were still waiting for food to be made for us even though we had specifically asked for the appetizers to be delivered before dinner. When my son's meal (he got the 8 oz steak which looked more like a 6-oz steak) was delivered to the table it was extremely overcooked and we had to return it. There were no condiments provided or offered when the food came. When the new steak arrived it was undercooked. We asked for the manager and upon his arrival he apologized profusely and said that dinner was on him. The evening never should have come to this. When I got there to pick up the order they told me the customer called and said they wanted to pick up the order instead and refused to hand over the order. Applebee's changed the order from doordash to deliver to curbside pick up; without canceling the doordash order. The manager there claimed they could not cancel the order; and the customer (when they finally responded to my calls and text about their order) refused to cancel their order. The order was for $8 and was a short delivery that would have taken maybe 5 minutes to complete. Instead I had to wait 30 minutes for doordash customer service to finally cancel the order and only got $4 for my troubles. Since Applebees's seems to be able to change order statuses and screw over the dashers, I stongly urge every dasher (and whatever other delivery apps Applebees uses) to avoid taking orders from Applebees. They are not worth the time and will cost you money. Also, I have had an issue with this store previously where one of the waitresses gave a food order meant for doordash delivery to someone else and I gad to call the customer their order was stolen. Read morePathetic and disgusting location. They have a sign on every table saying “if we don’t suggest one of these drinks, you get a free appetizer on us”. Our waitress clearly didn’t suggest a drink, so we said to her “do we get the free appetizer?”. She gave us a weird look and insisted she suggested the drink, even though the four of us at the table knew she did not. The waitress, named Cat, gave us a rude glare and then said she would work it out and walked away. I watched her explain the situation to someone, pointing and sneering at our table. Another random woman came over to our table and just stood in front of us saying nothing. We said “do we know you?” (Because she just stood their silently) and she rudely said “yea you’re in MY restaurant”. The lady, named Kim, is the manager who does not own the restaurant. I wanted to laugh in her face. After rudely arguing with us over a stupid appetizer, she finally gave us the free card. I felt so uncomfortable just being there, and I will never go there again.
