Don't get me wrong I love Chili's but last night I went to the one in Paramus New Jersey. What a mistake. I always sit at the bar so I don't have to wait in line for seating. I ordered my drink and my food. A man came along and sat next to me. When I turn to look at him he had a bloody tissue sticking out of his nose. It totally grossed me out. I then had to ask the bartender if I could take my food to go because I could not eat at this time. A couple minutes went by and no staff members said anything to this man. The staff were all talking about him and pointing at him but did nothing about it. As I was sitting there waiting for my food, the man then took out his tissue and all blood was dripping and leaking out of his nose onto the bar and all over his hands. He then took some of my napkins to wipe his nose and rolled up the bloody napkins and left them on the bar. By that time I had enough and I could not stand the unsanitized area that I was surrounded by. I got up put my coat on left my drink behind. Went to the side of the bar paid for my food and by that time my food was coming out. All the staff members knew what was going on because they were apologizing for the man's actions. As I was walking out I saw the manager and told him what was going on and the manager told me thanks for letting me know, have a good night. I don't understand how the staff at Chili's can allow a person to sit at a bar while other people are surrounded by him eating and drinking and not say anything. How can the staff members not inform the manager and let the manager know so he can tell the man can you please go to the bathroom and clean yourself up before you come back to the bar to sit. You just putting your customers at risk of getting any kind of diseases or being around an unsanitized area. But you are putting your workers at risk because they have to clean up that blood that was all over the bar probably on the stool and had to clean up all those bloody napkins on the bar. Not sure how your employees are trained but maybe a little common sense training manual should be in play. Even the food I took home I couldn't even eat it I just threw everything out it was a waste of a night. I wish I can get a full refund I have the receipt. I also have two videos of everything that went on but due to privacy I don't want to post them here on this review. If management would like both videos I would love to share them with you and I also would love a...
Read moreLet's start with the positive! The 2 burgers were EXCELLENT! A bit more cooked than medium well but since they were delivered less than a minute after being prepared, no problem. We ordered well done fries and they too were perfect.
The restaurant at 930 pm was a mess! Most of the tables were empty, dirty and full of dirty dishes. I watched a waiter take a dirty dish from a customer, put it on a clean table and a couple of minutes later walk to the kitchen empty handed. If he or any of the other lazy slobs working the floor brought a couple of dishes back to the kitchen, the place would not have been a mess! There was a woman cleaning tables. NO one was going to help her!
But there's more! The toilet bowl brush on the floor outside of bathroom was something I have never seen before. No one saw this?! The bathroom was dirty. The broken door, inexcusable! I had to take and post the photos.
The female bartender who served us had a horrible attitude. The restaurant was a mess , but not busy. She had another table and 2 customers at the bar. She never bothered to check on us after the food was served. After watching her wash glasses in the bar sink for 10 minutes, I realized that the drinks would not be refilled if I didn't get up and go to the bar. She acknowledged me immediately but didn't walk the 10 feet to where I was standing. She asked me if I needed anything else and when asked her to come over so I wouldn't have to yell, she told was kind of busy
She dropped off the refill and with a lot of attitude to spare.
My friend and I were convinced there was no manager on duty or that she was in charge.
There was an issue with my gift card and a manager visited the table to apologize for the issue with the card. I was stunned and asked where he had been all night. As I was relaying everything above, the bartender went to another table with customers with the rubber kitchen gloves on her hands. I was telling the Manager that I assumed she was in charge. After pointing out the gloves, I stated, I guess she is in charge and walked out of the restaurant.
If anyone from management reads this, I was there June 12, 2024.
It's a damn shame that the food was perfect and everything else...
Read moreI've visited this Chili's location multiple times for both dine-in and to-go, and I've always had a great experience with the staff. They are always so friendly and go out of your way to help you with what you need, and are always happy to do so.
I visited Chili's again last night for dine-in for the first time since the pandemic began. I was very impressed with their handling of the new regulations. Every staff member wore their masks correctly (covered both nose and mouth) and each party was properly distanced from each other. The hostess would even promptly put her mask back on in between taking sips of her water so that she wouldn't expose others around her. I always appreciate people who take the mask wearing seriously, and she definitely did not disappoint!
We ordered a brisket quesadilla and Texas Cheese Fries. Their cheese fries are absolutely to die for and I have not been anywhere that has better cheese fries. Even though it is an appetizer, the portion size is big enough for a meal for one person. Both items were amazing and the food came within minutes of placing the order. Chili's always has great deals on their 3 for $10 or 2 for $25 menu.
The waitress, Crystal (I hope I'm spelling it right!), was the nicest waitress I've had at Chili's. She always made sure to check up to make sure we had all we needed and was super friendly. She even helped me take care of an issue with paying for the bill with a gift card, since the new table POSes no longer support scanning a QR code for digital gift cards. Even while she was running around with her hands full from plates, she still stopped by my table to help me with this.
I have also ordered curbside pickup in the past and the process was super quick and easy. They bring the order out to the car and you don't even need to do anything as you pay for the order online. It is a quick and simple process that many other restaurants can't get right, but Chili's can.
I'm very happy with the service and will definitely be returning...
