I’ve been on Main street Park City a few times but I was excited to properly be initiated into the nightlife scene this past weekend. There are a basket of premier spots to grab drinks and food but the Cabin stood out this time around because I was in search of live music! The building features multiple layers of convenience. The upper level is utilized as a typical pub restaurant and bar area, the basement features three separate bars and a medium sized dance floor and stage setup, and lastly outside there Is a nice patio area with solar charged table awnings. This worked out great for a plethora of reasons!
You can grab some top-quality pub food before you go out drinking (not to be associated with your typical bar menu). We ended up going with the truffle fries as an appetizer and they were absolutely to die for. Since there were so many bartenders within a small area it was super easy and fast to grab drinks. In all honestly it most likely was the fastest bar service I’ve ever encountered in comparison to how many people were attending the show. I really liked that depending on the mood or the music being played you could head upstairs for typical club music or go outside on the patio to relax for a moment. By having the options of the three different environments I felt like I could control the tempo of the night. As we all know, it’s paramount to have a moderately charged phone when you’re out and about but it’s also easy to end up with a dead battery. Insert Cabin sponsored solar charged awnings. Gone are the days when it was difficult to charge your phone away from your home.
To summarize, the food was great, the service was top notch, the drinks were priced well, the lighting was epic and Rage Against the Supremes rocked us into a new dimension.
Thank you...
Read moreAmending original review based on a second visit (Sept. 2022). Stopped in for brunch today, famished. We ordered the "not so basic brunch" which, in spite of the name is very basic. Eggs, toast, bacon or sausage, potatoes or fruit. When I came a few years ago the docs hadn't discovered my wheat intolerance, so I knew I couldn't have the cake again I saw that they had gluten free toast as a side and requested it for the toast, asking if there was an upcharge. He said there was. The trouble is that they brought my gluten free toast on the side but put the regular sourdough toast on top of my food. Fortunately I can handle tiny amounts of cross contamination without severe symptoms, though I know many who can't. The eggs were great, bacon and potatoes were okay, but not one piece of toast, both sets they gave me or the one my friend got could even kind of be called toasted. It was just plain bread. One slice might have had a grill mark, but more like a dirty grill than actual color from contact with heat. We had to request butter, salt, and pepper. The butter was little balls in a dish but they were cold and hard, making it impossible to spread on untoasted bread. I think they had a drag brunch happening downstairs, which might have impacted the food service experience, but I'm not as keen to go back or recommend them now. We had a huge group and the accuracy was off, but given the circumstances I thought they did a great job. Cute place. Good food. They need a dark beer! :) Wings were good, burger was tasty, and the chocolate carrot cake...good Lord. Yum. Plan to share that...
Read moreThis was my very 1st time in Park City, UT. After checking out the ski areas, I strolled Main St for about 30 minutes looking for a place to get a drink and bite to eat. I saw a doorman outside of "The Cabin" eating a huge BLT sandwich and it looked good, so I decided to check the place out. It was 7 PM on Wednesday night in the "off season"; so the the place was almost completely empty, but the staff was super friendly when I walked in. The hostess was very sweet (I think her name was Allie....might be wrong) and the bartender (Conner) was very awesome and helpful! There were also several other staff (Kathy was the only one I met) there just hanging out waiting for business to pick up and they all were very friendly with me. Connor's roommate was sitting at the bar with me along with a Park City "local". Within minutes we were having great conversation about Park City, skiing, golfing, the east coast gas crisis, and where we were all from. I wasn't very hungry so I just went with the wings, but they were very good. The beers that Connor recommended were local and excellent. Although business was slow that night, I could see this place being a blast during ski and summer season. I definitely will come back to The Cabin next time I am...
