Wish it gave me the option to give this place 0 stars because we had one of the most disappointing experiences i’ve ever had with a restaurant/bar. Ordered a burger here and asked if I could add caramelized onions to my burger. (for context there was another burger on the menu with caramelized onions on it so the kitchen already makes them to order). Was told by our original waitress (who hardly ever came over to our table in the hour or so that we were there) that this wasn’t a problem was an was an easy add on. When we received our food my burger did not come with the add on so we went ahead and asked another waitress who had been helping out with our table if we could go ahead and get that corrected and get those from the kitchen. She proceeded to tell us that their kitchen was too busy and was absolutely not going to do that (for more context they had maybe 4 or 5 tables total in their two level restaurant). My sister then asked if they could the manager over our way. After 20 or so minutes he finally made his way over to us after we watched him talk to the waitress who told us the kitchen would refuse to do the add on. We explained the situation to him that we were told our order would not be completely fulfilled because the kitchen was simply too busy for the customer. His response was “yeah we do not fulfill modifications on busy days”. My sister who worked several years at Takashis in salt lake told him that in the future they should let customers know that ahead of time on those “busy days”. He apologized and said she was correct and asked if there was anything else he could do but did not offer to comp our bill, ask if he could get us something different to order, or even apologize for the rude response and terrible customer service we were given. Truly the most disappointing experience i’ve ever had while eating in park city where normally the food service is amazing. If you are looking for somewhere to eat go ahead and miss the The Spur. Not worth your...
Read moreThis is the second place to eat we’ve chosen while visiting Park City, Utah for our first time. Even when fully packed with a wedding party, the waitress, kitchen, and other staff were very efficient, friendly, and responsive. They helped each other out as a team when need be and checked in with us several times throughout our meal. Surprising with it being so packed so props to the entire Spur Bar team!!! Live music just started y’all. She’s a great singer with a guitarist. They have three separate bars, the one you see when you walk in, plus one upstairs, and one in the back on the first floor. Getting a drink is not a problem no matter how packed, but that also includes great service from the kitchen, also. We got pizza, burgers, ceviche to die for, and spinach artichoke dip with truffle oil. The menu is so diverse!! Theirs even wings, salads, mini pretzels, tons of appetizers, and their drink options go on for days. They even have elk on the menu. On the second floor there is outdoor seating where we sat, which overlooks Main Street and some mountain tops in the distance. We went right before sunset. Definitely recommend this place at any time of day, no matter how packed. $30-$50 per person for us only because we ordered multiple rounds of margaritas. Thank you Spur...
Read moreI had one of the worst service experiences at Spurs last night. There is absolutely no oversight—staff act however they want with no regard or respect for customers.
I had ordered a cocktail, and just minutes after receiving it, it accidentally spilled. I still left a 20% tip and ordered a second one, this time paying in cash. The bartender snatched the money from my hand in a rushed and unprofessional way, and I wasn’t given any change or receipt for over 20 minutes.
It was clear that they hadn’t registered the payment and were planning to keep the full amount as a tip. When I asked the bartender, Tomás, why I hadn’t received my change, he responded in a rude and confrontational tone. Since I speak Spanish, I felt he used that as an excuse to treat me more casually and with less professionalism—as if sharing the same language gave him permission to be disrespectful.
They weren’t even busy. I was sitting directly at the bar, and there was no reason for this kind of behavior to be overlooked.
They might benefit from their prime location, but it's clear they lack basic customer service standards. I’ve now seen other reviews describing similar issues, and I understand why. I would not...
