*Editing review on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 to include that we booked this property for a variety of reasons, but the biggest being the property's location on Main St. and having a private balcony and hot tub. We went to use the hot tub on Sunday evening and upon opening the cover, were hit with a very strong and pungent stench, as well as a half full hot tub that was half full of murky, green water. This hot tub clearly had not been serviced in a while which is disgusting and unsanitary. We instead went to bed. We spent our 10th anniversary evening, our only evening alone without kids or responsibilities, in a big beautiful property rental unable to relax on the private balcony, in the private hot tub.
I called the service desk and asked to speak with someone the next day as this stay was not worth the $400+ we forked up to get away and celebrate. I received a call from I believe his name was Toby on 7/21 who informed me he was able to credit us $125. I am grateful he was able to compensate some, however I feel the fact that we weren't able to use the property as intended and as advertised should warrant either a full compensation or a credit to come back and utilize the property as it's advertised. When I explained to Toby our situation, I was met with no empathy, no offer to try to further help, simply a "All I can do at this point is apologize". It's very obvious this company couldn't care less about taking care of it's little customers, but I'm sure the BIG names and big spenders are well taken care of. From start to finish, this stay was awful, and we're feeling very jaded about choosing to give our hard earned dollars to The Caledonian room #212. I tried to steer away from Deer Valley or Hotel Park City or any of the big resorts locally, and I now regret doing so as I know for a fact they would NEVER allow this sort of thing to happen.
If you're part of the property management and you're reading this, do the right thing... but let's be honest, we all know you won't.*
Arrived at the property at 3:15 hoping to check in early. Room is not clean or ready for checking until the actual check-in time at 4:00, which is fine I understand. But we were told we will be able to check in with no issues after 4:00. Here it is 4:20PM, just trying to check in at my designated check in time and am being told it’s going to be another hour at least before my room is ready… check-in time is at 4:00, it’s currently 4:22, so that means close to 5:30 when my dinner reservations are and I still need to get ready for dinner. Called the after hours receptionist when we first got here at 3:15 since it’s a Sunday evening and she said she’s going to call housekeeping to expedite the cleaning so we can check in. Just received the call at 4:28 PM stating it’s going to be 15-20 minutes before we check in. We asked for an alternate unit and was told there is no vacancy for the evening so we have no choice but to wait for our designated rental. We were finally were able to get into our room at 4:52 PM, nearly an hour after the quoted check-in time. We get into our room and go to put stuff in the fridge and the fridge handle has stuff on it. The bed cover on the large upstairs bedroom has what appears to be makeup on it.
We’re here for our 10th anniversary and don’t get to get away like this often due to having kids, so it’s quite disappointing to get here and waiting an additional hour past check-in time, and we will likely miss our dinner reservations. Thanks for kicking the week off like this for...
Read moreI wanted to take a moment to provide some feedback on my recent stay at your hotel. I've had the pleasure of staying at this location several times, and I have a few observations that I think could help enhance the guest experience. First and foremost, I must say that the location is absolutely fantastic. Being right next to the Park City Town Lift is a major plus and makes it incredibly convenient for guests looking to enjoy the slopes and the surrounding area. The rooms are also quite spacious, which is always a welcome feature. However, I feel that the rooms are in need of updating, as it looks like old carpets and fixtures should be refreshed. Additionally, the hotel does not offer daily housekeeping services. While this may not be a significant issue for some guests, others might find it inconvenient. Furthermore, I've observed that the hotel itself lacks amenities, which could be a drawback for those looking to enjoy a more comprehensive hotel experience. I hope you find this feedback helpful, and I look forward to staying at your hotel again...
Read moreThe Caledonian unit 209 was absolutely amazing! You walk into an elegant/modern decorated open living space. The view from your first floor balcony with hot tub is the historic Park City Main Street and beautiful mountains. As you proceed upstairs you have two bedrooms. One with 2 double beds and a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. Then you head to the oversized main bedroom that includes a large sauna steam shower . In addition there is a hallway that has a set of double bunk beds. Each upstairs bedroom opens to an upstairs balcony. You are right in the middle of everything on Main Street. Great shopping, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. Once you park your car it is not needed until you depart. This is my second time at The Caledonian and will not be my last!! If you are there during ski season it is a true ski in ski out. Can’t wait to come back in the Spring. I will definitely book The Caledonian unit 209 each time I’m...
