I'm hoping that this review finally brings my concerns to someone's attention. In January we booked a condo in Oahu through Park City Rental Properties for a week in August. Our property was changed at the last minute to a smaller place 50% further from the beach making it an unwalkable distance for our party. As upsetting as the sudden change was, the way it was handled was insulting. We were offered the less ideal condo for the same price. When we asked to talk to a manager, we were offered a 10% discount off of what we'd already paid. This is insulting because the original condo was listed for over $330 a night and the new one was only listed for $290, yet only a 10% discount from our original payment was offered to make up for the stress, panic, and obviously lesser property. We ultimately agreed to 10% off of the posted price of the new property after some haggling, but we shouldn't have had to catch them trying to rip us off first. We only accepted such a small decrease because we had NO OTHER OPTIONS within a week of our scheduled stay. When we arrived we were greeted by a crumpled, dirty sheet on top of a ripped pillow on the kitchen counter. There was no home manual or resource book as is usually customary in a vacation rental. One of the three bedrooms had furniture blocking the door from closing. We had to take a twin bed out of the room to avoid a fire hazard, which in turn left us a bed short. Another bedroom barely allowed for a cautious walk around the bed and the overhead light didn't work adding to the discomfort. I emailed these concerns and a few others to the representative we'd been working with upon arrival and still have not received a reply. I sent email updates throughout our stay with no acknowledgement. Later during our stay we attempted to use the grill provided. There was something wrong with the grill that caused a terrifying amount of smoke. We ended up having to cook in the oven and brought the grill away from the home as a precaution. Needless to say, these issues and the lack of response from property management detracted from what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable family reunion. Although the property overall was decent, a few furniture changes would make it more usable and comfortable, and the service...
Read morePerfectly executed customer service!!! Highly recommend the professionals at Park City Rental Properties. The backstory - We traveled to Park City for a week of skiing and rented a 3 bedroom townhouse at The Canyons. Our representative Tommy was a pleasure to deal with and he worked hard to find us the right property that logistically put us in a very good location. FYI the entire base mountain area of The Canyons is undergoing a huge expansion and there is quite a bit of construction everywhere so dealing with that was unexpected and loud from 7am to 5pm everyday. The townhouse was very nice and well appointed and exactly what we were looking for. After our first night, we discovered the mattresses were very hard to sleep on and the first few nights, everyone in the family had very bad nights sleep. I called the team at PCRP after a day of skiing and described the issue. Without hesitation, the gentleman (sorry did not remember his name), said no problem, we will get mattress pads for you and deliver them by the time you get back from dinner. Sure enough, when we arrived back from dinner, there were three new mattress pads waiting for us (pictured). That night, everyone slept very well! The next day, my daughter did not feel well and left the mountain early and returned back to the townhouse. Unfortunately her Dad (that would be me) gave her the wrong code to get into the garage and she was outside alone and locked out of the unit. I called PCRP and spoke to Keeley who immediately had one of their representatives meet my daughter at the unit and let her in. That turned a bad situation into a happy outcome and thats what customer service is all about! Bottom line - there are a lot of companies in and around Park City competing for your dollars in the residential rental business. The team at Park City Rental Properties are well trained, responsive and understanding professionals. It was a pleasure working with you and thank you for making our vacation at The Canyons memorable and...
Read more2/25/22 thru 3/27/22 We rented at 14404 buck horn trail through Park City Rental Properties. This is a great location with a nice view, and the pictures on the website look nice but several things were not good at all. The laundry area smelled really bad. Sometimes like sewage, and this laundry area is in kitchen area.. disgusting! All the dishes and every bowl had chips in them… I bought paper plates! There were not any lids to the fry pans. The place was dusty, could see the dust build up in the heat/air vents and on ceiling fans. I asked cleaners(which I pay extra to come extra times) to clean these thing.. and they did not! The first day there, we had to have PC properties maintenance come and fix all the handles to the major appliances as they were all very loose and falling off. The rug in family area was filthy. This place did not have a vacuum, at least I could not find one. We found glass in this family area rug that obviously was not cleaned up prior to our arrival. We had to call in for emergency service to the hot tub because 4 of us got Hot tub folliculitis, which is a skin infection of the hair follicles caused by the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa!! 2 people could not ski and had to go on 3 antibiotics, one of these people is experiencing scarring on the trunk of her body … I told PC property, Laurie, who is guest experience manager, and she did not care at all. She stated that they fulfilled their obligation of getting the hot tub serviced, drained, and cleaned. This was half way thru our rental, so we did not feel comfortable using the hot tub again, regardless of it being serviced. Laurie did not seem to care about the other issues either, but did said she would relay the message to home owners about the chipped dishes, and that hopefully they would replace them. Let’s hope so! This was my 2nd year in a row renting from PC Rental Properties and we will not be renting through them again. They lack in customer care! I Do not...
