Washington School House Hotel — Hotel in Park City

Second time at this property and it was as good as I had remembered it (if not better!). So many good things to say:||- Centrally located: A block away from Main Street where all the restaurants/bars/shops are.||- The property itself is absolutely lovely: A converted School House with all the nooks and crannies and all the charms you can think of (and then some!). The vibe is one of serenity and calm. The living room with the roaring fire is stunningly beautiful. I spend a lot of time there - either for breakfast, après or simply with my laptop.||- Rooms: I stayed in the Pool King Room (also the same room I stayed at during my first visit). Really like the room as you can see the pool (in the summer) and a nice view of the snowy landscape (in the winter). Also obviously easy access to the heated pool and the hot tub! ||- Service is unparralleled: for a boutique hotel, WSH has a relatively large team that make sure that all their guests are attended to. Nothing is too much for them - in fact, I'd go as far as saying they are so attentive to their guests' needs that they give a new meaning to "personalised service". The text messaging is instant and allows you to communicate with them even when you're not at the property. The ski lounge and ski valet service is top drawer! Every morning, you'll find all your ski gear waiting for you in the ski lounge. And...even after a hearty breakfast, they still stock you up with snickers, water and other snacks together with hand and toe warmers for your day up on the mountain. Just let them know where you want to ski and they'll drop you off at the base. And when you're done for the day, they'll come and pick you up wherever you are. Again - just text them and you'll get an immediate response. ||Most importantly, the entire team make me feel as if I'm "at home". Either it's Matt, the GM, or Austin, the ski valet, everyone is utterly professional - yet friendly, approachable, down-to-earth and exudes genuine warmth that is missing from some of the big brands. We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding at the Washington School House Hotel in Park City, Utah, and it was nothing short of perfect. The venue itself is stunning—an elegantly restored historic schoolhouse that blends classic charm with modern luxury. The intimate setting was ideal for our celebration, offering a cozy yet upscale atmosphere that made our day feel truly special.

A huge highlight was Ryan Frye, who somehow manages to wear every hat—chef, hotel manager, coordinator, security—and does it all flawlessly. His food was incredible, creative, and tailored perfectly to our event, and his leadership ensured everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. The rest of the staff was just as exceptional: warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our experience unforgettable.

The location right off Main Street couldn’t be better. Our guests loved being able to step right out into the heart of Main Street while still enjoying the private, tucked-away feel of the hotel. The design and décor inside are breathtaking, from the beautifully appointed rooms to the chic common areas and the outdoor pool terrace with mountain views.
