I am not one to ever write hotel feedback but I feel compelled to warn other paying customers about this given how expensive it is for the awful experience we received.
I was hugely disappointed with our stay here, what could be a fantastic hotel experience was bitterly let down by the exceedingly poor staff.
Whilst the rooms were comfortable, and the location was great, sadly everything else was an utter let-down. The lounge area in our room was dark and dingy with no natural light and a makeshift kitchen area. It could barely fit 4 persons. The “continental breakfast” was utterly laughable with just a miniature table of croissants and a bowl of cereal (we had to fetch our own milk from the kitchen as no staff manned it for the entire 7 days of our stay) We ended up paying to eat out for breakfast nearby.
The pool was broken for the entire trip. What was more shocking was that the staff didn’t even appear to know what the problem was, or seemingly speak to one another, so we were constantly getting different and conflicting explanations.
The hotel was extremely understaffed, with what seemed like children running the front desk who had no clue about absolutely anything, particularly customer service. The staff were atrocious! We gave up enquiring about anything. We were told the shuttle would collect us from Deer Valley at 10pm one night, to be later told the shuttle stops at 8pm and the one girl running reception couldn’t drive so she couldn’t pick us up!
The spa prices are also extortionate. All other spa’s nearby were 50% of these prices. The management/owners are seemingly only interested in taking their customer’s very last cent and not delivering any enjoyable experience whatsoever in return. They are criminals. We haven’t even heard anything from management about our complaints and we left nearly 2 weeks ago. Avoid this “hotel”...
Read moreWhat is good: This hotel is the center of Old Town Park City. You can walk to the lift in ski boots carrying your skis/board. Great location.||||The layout of our suite was individual bedrooms (with doors that close) and a kitchenette. Very good for a family with older kids||||Bathrooms are lavish. Room is clean.||||What is bad:||||There is no gift shop, no bar, no restaurant, no food counter. Nowhere to get coffee, a snack, a drink, even a bottle of water. -- Nothing but one guy who sits at the front desk. In fact, the lobby is so deserted, the whole place has the feeling of being haunted. Because we took a car service from the Salt Lake and did not rent a car, I was on foot to provision our kitchenette with breakfast items, etc. The walk to 7-11 is 25-minutes one-way. I should have taken an Uber but I kept thinking I was almost there....||||The bed linens and towels are thin, rough, and had holes.||||They are very stingy with the toiletries. There is one bar of soap we had to move back and forth from he sink to the shower. I had to ask for extra toilet paper, ask for clean towels, ask for a fresh bar of soap. The one guy in the lobby is perfectly pleasant and collects what you request while you wait, but for the price...to have to ask for a new bar of soap?||||||When the kitchen staff of the fine-dining restaurant next door arrived at 6:00 a.m. to prep for the day, they accidentally turned on the patio music. The patio was below our room and so loud, we were all awakened and could not sleep. Based the level of service/staff at the hotel, we did not even approach the front desk. My husband just got dressed and walked to the restaurant and pounded on the door to ask them to turn off their patio music. You just kind of feel like you are on your own there. It is more like a rental...
Read moreA disaster hotel. Do not stay. After multiple failed attempts to contact the manager and reservation staff after a dismal stay for only one night. This is an email sent to them multiple times with no response. Subject: Mina and Sky issue Reservation. I will take this to the BBB and notify Summit County.
To whom it may concern
I stayed at your hotel last night and have a serious complaint in regards to unacceptable maintenance, cleaning and covid hygiene in the room.
I am outlining the issues
When checking in the man at the front desk removed his mask to tell me where to go for no reason for a long duration. I had to tell him to put back on his mask. This alone is unacceptable during a pandemic at a luxury hotel or any public space.
I checked in and the first room I was given had a huge amount of noise on the 3rd level from the mechanical room down the hall. The entire hall was noticeably loud and vibrated that reverberated into the room.
I was moved rooms to the fourth floor. The room had issues also. The tv would not turn on. The floor in the living room was not cleaned and had unknown debris on the floor that looked like old deodorant or something. The shower did not work at all. The linens on the bed had holes and were worn out and the towels were ragged. In general it was disgusting. I notified the front desk and they said they would send plumbers the following day to fix again during a pandemic. Do they think I want people in my room during this time. I left a message for the GM to call me but that person is not to be found and they don’t know when they get in to work. See attached video and images.
I tried to contact the GM several more times and they were not available and didn’t know how...
