I don't normally leave negative reviews for restaurant mistakes, especially after working in a fast food environment myself during my high school days. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, and that orders will get messed up from time to time. and while this Wendy's has made countless mistakes to my food orders in the past, this is not the cause of this review.
The other night, my girlfriend and I decided to visit the Wendy's drive thru for a late night dinner. The cashier was prompt in asking me for our order, but let out a long exaggerated sign when I simply asked "one moment please," to look over the new flat bread menu items. While I found this to be borderline rude, even this isn't the main reason for my negative review though.
As I went to hand my credit card to the cashier at the drive thru window, I noticed that the man (I believe his name tag read "Elmer") had a very annoyed expression on his face. Not just upset, but aggravated. I thought perhaps it was because I had stopped a bit too far forward from the drive thru window, causing him to extend his hand a bit further to meet me. Instinctively, I apologized and backed up a bit to reduce his reach and mine. He still had an aggravated look on his face, despite my apology, so I asked him if everything was alright. He shook his head and literally said "You two are stupid. You are always doing stupid things." My girlfriend and I looked at each other in shock. I could not believe that someone would say that to us, let alone a restaurant employee. I displayed no reason or ill attitude towards him. Even if so, it has always been unheard of to literally insult a customer. There are ways of handling every situation, and none of them should include the word "stupid."
After a few seconds of well... shock, I decided to ask him what provoked that response. He accused me of once spilling a large drink in the drive thru line. First off, my girlfriend once spilled a small cup of tea inside MY car while handing me my wallet, but this had no ill effect to Wendy's or the cashier, Elmer. Second, why is a Wendy's employee judging us based on that, or any of our actions?
The only explanation I can fathom is that he mistook us for someone else, and is confusing a past experience. I imagine that it's not fairly uncommon for patrons to drop items, especially as they get passed from window to window. Maybe he had a couple once drop something intentionally (it's possible) and he associated that memory with us, being that my girlfriend had dropped a convenience store tea IN the car (though on the passenger side). Even that scenario seems a bit like a stretch.
All in all, I am rather disgusted by this man's...
Read moreI ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich with sausage, potatoes, coffee, and OJ. I get to the drive-through and they give me my order without the OJ.
How could they screw up my order when I was the only customer in the drive-through? Well, that wasn’t the end of it. When I got home, I realized that they gave me the wrong sandwich. Instead of giving me the croissant sandwich with the sausage and egg, I got the roll, with bacon and egg.
The staff at this drive-through either has difficulty understanding customers at the drive-through, or they are blatantly dishing out bad service by disregarding customers orders. I have to say, this is at least the 10th time that they’ve gotten my order wrong at the drive-through.
How could they get my order wrong when every order is associated with the number on the menu? How many times can I say number two and they get it wrong?
Unfortunately, there’s not another Wendy’s nearby so you might be stuck with this one, I urge you to double and triple check your order before pulling away from the window, because the staff there do not have the same level of customer service as you would expect at other Wendy’s. They are somehow operating on the fringe.
Double check your order, because of most likely get it wrong. And avoid this, Wendy’s if you can, because it will definitely be a waste of your time.
Management has clearly given up on this place and the staff training is...
Read moreI am so done with this location. Enough is enough. If you are going to ask what I want, at least pretend to check my order before you tell me "of course" it is there. We usually get slight mix ups and we let it go, but common, every single time pretty much, so we had enough. No more. Last week, my family and mother in law decided to get Wendy's, I personally got something else. I went to pick it up and 3 times explained the type of baked potato we wanted, instead of fries. I would have even paid extra if they just gave us fries and baked potato, but when I pulled up, I asked the girl who handed me the bag, is the baked potato in there. Her response was "of course it is". Seriously? If you going to say of course, wouldn't want to check first? Just tired of checking the bags and it is not productive. I order, I pay for my order and I would like for them to check the bag before the hand it to the drive through, otherwise perhaps it is not the business that they should be in. Done, no more going to...
