Chepo's (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Pasadena

All I can say is WOW. We were visiting from Corpus Christi & the RGV & you can’t find Mexican food this good in Corpus to be honest. The beans are light, but don’t be fooled.. they are loaded with flavor & a little kick. We ordered mega torta & shared.. we still had some left over! The person who took our order was so helpful & recommended their most popular items & even their papas preparadas (loaded fries) which aren’t on their menu and were chefs kiss 👨🏽‍🍳💋. You can tell the food is going to be great when the whole family steps in to prepare it, which was what happened at this place. They offered us more and told them to let them know what else we needed SEVERAL times. Got kids? They give lollipops & bolis while you wait for your order. Beans are unlimited if you eat there also! Customer satisfaction was at 120%. If we ever find ourselves back in Pasadena, you better be sure we’ll be eating at...

These are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. They’re always offering hot chocolate popsicles or candy to patrons while they wait. Last night the daughter snuck away to deliver some food to an elderly gentleman who can’t drive that used to frequent their previous spot. They don’t even offer delivery because we would be ordering too! They also catered my friends wedding brought the food and a flat top and cooked everything fresh. They were a hit at the reception! I can’t stress it enough if you want to support small business I couldn’t tell you anyone who deserved your money more than them. Absolutely some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Trust me you won’t be disappointed!

Tried this place for my first time last night. And I can say they have the best food you can get from a taco truck. The tortas will melt in your mouth with the butter on the bread. The bistek is cooked perfectly. They piratas are delicious and perfect serving size and it's 5 per plate. I mean the flavors of the meats from the pastor and the pierna I mean they definitely take time to make sure these are prepared with that homemade taste. I will be returning and taking pictures of my meal. I was so blown away by how good the food was that I forgot to take pix. But definitely stop by and don't worry they have treats for the kiddos too.
