I was summoned to serve at the Pasadena Court House for Jury Duty. What does that have to do with this establishment? Nothing. Other than the fact that California gives you $15 a day for your service and that this restaurant is a short 2 block walk from the courthouse.

At Hawg Heaven, you will find the most amazing $12 smash burger.

For the past 2 weeks Eric has been serving me this burger every day while I have served in my civic duty - it has been nothing but consistently delicious.

-The smash burger is amazing and a fantastic value compared to other surrounding eateries.

-The vibe is calm and friendly.

-Eric is a joy.

-There's a 2 for 1 happy hour.

In conclusion, if you've been chosen to serve on a Jury duty in Pasadena, dont be too bummed. Head over to Hawg Heaven to have a fantastic "government provided" lunch.

Even if you're not doing your civic duty, give them a try. The food's quality is enough for me to come back again once the trial...

Took my father to dinner with jazz and we both liked it. Our waiter was so nice. It felt like he was waiting on All the tables. Maybe they will get more staff in the future as it seemed like a newly established. It’s on the corner, where Ixtapa Cantina used to be and there is paid parking right behind it. We both had salmon, mine with white wine and dad with beer. Food and drinks 👌🏼. The jazz band did a lot of Amy Whinehouse covers. So if you enjoy that, hop on over. Looking around, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. People passing by would dance their way through. We had a deal from Goldstar but if you don’t, go anyway. Given current prices, I’d say you’re getting a good deal from the regular menu. Good food and live music. 👌🏼 have fun and bring cash to tip the band....

For a BBQ restaurant there isn't much barbecue on the menu. There was a mariachi band, which is fun, but they were very loud and not exactly what I was expecting for BBQ. My boyfriend and I had to yell at each other because it was so loud. The food is okay overall. Everything came out lukewarm. But the brussels sprouts were the worst... No seasoning at all, not even salt, and they were mushy. We sent them back to the kitchen, but the quesadillas, tortilla soup, and brisket sandwich were decent. The fries were good.
