I use to eat here 2 years ago. The food was great then. Everything was made fresh from scratch and the service was great. Well, I had moved across town a few years ago and missed eating there. I had a graduation to go to in Pasadena so I decided to stop in with my family to eat there before the graduation. That was a mistake.
When we got there we waited at the front for over 10 minutes waiting to be seated. A large group of 12 came in behind us and waited also. When someone came up to seat us they first went to the other group but it was pointed out that my family was there first. We got a table under where the AC was dripping onto the table. I had tried to move the table but it would not move so I had to hold my hand over my food so rusty AC water would not drip into what I was trying to eat.
When we were seated my husband was holding our 2 year old baby. It was apparent that she could not sit in a normal chair but no one asked if we needed a highchair. I finally ended up hunting for a highchair and dragging it to my table. A manager did see and picked up the chair for me when I was half way there. I have a bad knee and did not want to risk tripping while carrying the chair so I had to drag it.
We ordered the cheese dip, Chili con Queso for $7. It was velveta cheese with a bit of rotel tomato for a bit of color. Something that would have cost $2 to make. The red sauce for the chips was made from can tomatoes and was horrible. The green sauce was over salted. The chips were stale and mostly broken in pieces that were smaller than a 1/2 across, not suitable to use for dipping.
When I started to give our food order I started with the children's food. Most places take the children's orders first. The waiter was very rude and snapped at me to stop and give my order first. He had to take all the orders in a clockwise direction around the table so he could remember who got what. There was no way he could remember which 3 out of the 4 children got a pizza dinner, that my other child got the children's enchilada dinner, and my husband and I got adult meals. Even when he brought the meals to the table he still had to ask who got what.
3 of my children had the children's pizza. It was a store bought off brand small deep dish pizza that was burnt on the edges. The french fries were a dark brown, almost burnt. My daughter got the children's cheese enchilada dinner. It was so spicy that she could not eat it.
I ordered the Nasa dinner. The taco shell was stale and soft. The tamale, cheese enchilada were not edible. I could not even eat half of it. The guacamole was turning brown on my plate as I watched it. I did not dare try to eat that. The beans had a can taste to them. None of us could eat even half of our food. The kids hardly touched their food, it was so bad. I tried it and had to spit the food out.
When we left we went to Mc Donald's to get the kids some good food. We would have done better going to Mc Donald's in the first place. Very disapointed on how fast the place went down hill in just 2 years. We will...
Read moreBack then this was the place for great Mexican food and good service but after our last experience i won't ever come back i ordered my wifes food because shes deft and she cant speak everything was ok until she got her plate there was sour cream but shes allergic so we asked if they could remake her plate she hadn't eaten anything all she did was add hot sauce like EVERYONE DOES WHEN THEY GET MEXICAN FOOD the waitress said that if she took it back she was going to charge me for both plates i said she didn't eat nothing off the plate shes ALLERGIC TO SOUR CREAM so we asked to speak to the manager and i guess things have changed on how the customer is always right because he sided with her because she blamed it on a DEFT PERSON WHO COULDN'T SPEAK! She said it was my wifes fault because at their restaurant if you add hot sauce to your food and something is wrong with your food you will get charged for both plates ive never heard of that at any restaurant then he said ill let it slide this time i was like did he really just say that and during all this he made a remark that made me think he said normally they dont remake plates that he would normally scrape it off and bring it back but SENCE HE WAS LETTING A DEFT PERSON SLIDE THAT HE WOULD REMAKE HER PLATE SO THAT SHOWS THEY BRING YOU BACK THE SAME FOOD INSTEAD OF A NEW PLATE A FOOD SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS OFFENDED AND WHY WOULD SOMEONE BLAME HER FOR BEING ALLERGIC AND THAT AS A DEFT PERSON SHE FELT UNWELCOMED SO THANK YOU FOR MESSING UP...
Read moreAfter our baseball game we headed over to Mamacita's with our team for lunch. We waited 10 min before a hostess ever came to greet us. We then stood around 10 more minutes while the waiters and waitresses stood around arguing about who was going to serve us because no one seemed to want to take care of a big group (which i find quite odd and extremely unprofessional). My husband had moved one the tables straight instead of diagonal and out or the way of the walkway. We were then told we could NOT move the table straight because of COVID and were attacked and yelled at by several people including the manager of the establishment. They then "kicked" us out and told us to leave because we were were causing a problem. We go out to eat after every Sunday game and have NEVER been treated so bad and have never been around a group of people so unprofessional at this group of servers and managers were. The manager followed us out of the restaurant yelling and screaming. He then grabbed some of his buddies and sat outside smoking a cigarette threatening my husband while my kids were right there with us. As a manager this man should of had enough class to leave the situation alone but instead he was outside ready to "fight." This is the second weekend in a row we went there with our team for lunch but trust me we will...
