I ordered DoorDash January 15. It was about $113 worth of food, I love DoorDash, but it’s not DoorDash just follow when something is wrong, it’s the restaurant, so I called outback in Pasadena right there on Beltway eight in Spencer Highway, I talk to the manager name Angelica, I told her what it happened. I ordered the steak salad. The steak on the side was well done. This is the third time they’ve never ever given me bread. , They always forget it nothing was labeled. They forgot one of my soups. I ordered a load of baked potato. I like it all on it, but they didn’t give me sour cream bacon I mean it was a complete disaster ordered unsweet tea gallon. They brought sweet so I talked to the manager Angelica on the phone and told her about it I’ve been in the restaurant business 30 years I told her they just need to be retrained, the expo and the to go people in the back got to start labeling things like well done or you know steak salad and they have to do that and they need someone else to make sure and check off that everything in there is done I know the breads in a different area but it Hass to be done , She agreed of course it’s not DoorDash problem because they deliver it sealed, so she told me if I could come down she’s going to complete my whole order I mean I had cheesecake I mean she redid everything it was unbelievable nobody has ever ever done that and then when I pulled up in the back with her to go pick up is she gave me Four gift cards for takeout $80 worth and she apologized over and over, I mean this woman is unbelievable and she said you’re right you know can’t believe it and I showed her the ticket not one thing was checked off they forgot my steam broccoli and then they did. They got another broccoli and they dumped it on top of my salmon salad they do the salmon on the side oh, and by the way, it’s awesome there but you don’t put someone’s broccoli on top of that because the people that one of the broccoli don’t eat meat , so she redid the whole order perfect and she retrained them and said this is the way it’s going to be and sometimes do you know it just takes that, but I couldn’t of had the better and most wonderful experience from her. She brought it out herself. She’s a beautiful girl her name is Angelica. I told her she looks like an angel! She usually works the night shift she says, but I’ve never had that good of service with something had went wrong because it’s always the bread they forget and if it’s not the bread, they don’t give me no butter and give me a baked potato with nothing on the side I was so upset but I love that place. If you have problems, just call but don’t be mean you know just explain to them preferably not when it’s during their busy hours because they’re on the floor talking to customers which they’re supposed to be doing but I love outback but I told her a lot of people were getting mad and going to roadhouse because of this ! Thank you Angelica I hope that their corporate or districts read things like this because little things like this go along way I’ve had things happen to me at roadhouse and they gave me a free appetizer coupon and sent it to my email. That’s not gonna cut it for me specially, when you spend $140 by yourself you know no way , but she went to the limits on it and just keep my good business cause she said I see you order a lot and this has been happening a lot. I’m gonna retrain everyone and that’s wonderful cause we make mistakes but sometimes we have to be retrained and done the right way. Everybody has to be on the same program! Read moreWhen this location was off of Bltwy 8 near Sagemont we would frequent them 2-3 times a week. I forgot the general mangers name but we were never disappointed. We enjoy Outback so much I joined the rewards club.
New location (Pasadena): My husband went to quote a water heater install nearby so we decided to get a bite to eat. We decided to sit at the bar. It was empty. There was one lady sitting there. Luke saw us sitting down and welcomed us. He cleaned the bar area and asked if he could get us anything. Luke was by for the absolute best individual in the entire restaurant from the bar to everything else they had him working on. He also makes the absolute best Blueberry Martinis!!! Nothing but great praise for Luke. Luke ordered bread for us but THREE different individuals came from the back of the kitchen with bread and took it to other recent arriving patrons at the bar. It was so obvious that the one lady who was there before us was like they are all sorts of mixed up today. Luke came back and saw 3 bread platters at every patrons section but ours. He asked us did we not want bread and we said they keep giving it to other people. So he told them please get them some bread. I typically don't attach skin color to all situations however we were literally the only black couple sitting at the bar. The manager lady with the seafoamed colored shirt came to the bar and talked to the lady and her 2 daughters next to us and offered some dessert choice and smiled and laughed, but not once say, look, check on anything dealing with us. Our food came out after those who arrived after us. They received their food first. Luke had to go and check to see what the problem was. Luke was very attentive however with all he seem to be doing he had to leave the bar and move around a lot. We literally chose to grab him and check out before he switched out with someone because the other workers didn't seem comfortable interacting with us. We are cool, we understand, however I told Luke we won't be back to this location. It's obviously not welcoming to those of an authentic melanated skin tone.
