I come to this location quite often because the food is phenomenal. However. Today I showed up as usual simply walking in, only to get looked down upon by the hostess and then was told a ridiculously extreme wait time. I found it strange that the male host was grabbing menus and getting ready to seat us while the female one decided to tell us that there would be no way to accommodate us for at least two hours. Never have I ever been to this restaurant and had the wait be over two hours. Not only that, but instead of offering the bar seating area which is free seating, she just let us walk out the door and leave. I thought it was strange so I went online to check their availability only to find that their website had multiple reservation blocks open to accommodate my party of two within the next 30 minutes. So. Naturally. I reserved one, then went back inside to patiently wait to be seated. Once our reservation time came to the 5 minute mark prior to the show time, we checked back in at the front only to have that same hostess tell us that she still won’t be able to seat us and that we could try the bar. Now I’m not sure if she saw two young adults and decided we were a waste of time, but her service sure seemed to reflect that notion. At that point we had already waited 30 minutes and decided to head to the bar area letting her know that when our table became available to come and get us. That never happened. However, there were numerous hostesses coming through the bar bringing people to their table all night long. We decided to eat at the bar instead of losing out on an entire night which turned out to be a pleasant experience. The only reason this review isn’t one star is because of the fact that the two bar seating section waitresses, Katie and another with the black braid, were phenomenal. Their service was top notch, professional and friendly, opposite of the hostess greeting guests up front. Unfortunately, the risk of being turned away once again by a rude hostess, even with a reservation, is something I’m not going to chance. I’ll be taking my business to the Morton’s Steakhouse or LA Prime next time rather than be rejected and honestly humiliated by the...
Read moreMy husband booked a surprise reservation for my Birthday. Neither of us have been to Ruthschris and were looking forward to our meal and night. Our waiter Joseph was wonderful. It took long to get our meal, we kindly let him know we had tickets to the theater ( to see Wicked..I’ve waited a year to see ) and he promised to get things moving along. I understand he has no control over how fast our meal is prepared but it was after our meal made it to the table. We asked him to pack up our food because we had to make it to the theater in Hollywood on time. He said he would have it packed up and proceeded to the table of 8 next to us to open and pour two bottles of wine. He also said he would pack our dessert to go. We waited and waited and waited patiently until whoever was assisting him slowly walked over, helped others and theeeen came to pack up our meal which by the way wasn’t the best (I had a ribeye that was just ok). I believe his name was Tony and he just has this miserable look on his face. He also at one point, in the middle of the meal asked if my husband if he wanted more bread, he said yes, thanked him and the bread NEVER made it to the table. We asked for the check and waited and waited until finally we had to get up walk over to the front of the restaurant without our desserts Joseph promised to pack and ask the hostess to please get our check because we had to leave ASAP. Manager finally walked over, we asked her for the check and explained quickly why we had to leave. I left the restaurant and my husband behind so I can quickly get our car. When my husband caught up to me, I asked him what the manager said and he said she apologized and didn’t seem to, in his words “Not give a shit”. Needless to say, we made it to finally see Wicked, 20 mins late but thankfully it was so wonderful, the under par birthday dinner was out of mind for the rest of the night. We usually visit Lawry’s or Morton’s and I was truly wanting to love RuthsChris since it’s closer to home but I am so disappointed! I wouldn’t believe the hype of Ruthschris, you can definitely get a better melt in your mouth...
Read moreI recently made reservations at Ruth's Chris Steak House for a special birthday celebration with a group of 8 guests, and I must say that our experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, everything went incredibly smooth, and the service was impeccable.
The meal began with a delightful array of courses that showcased the culinary expertise of the restaurant. The Seared Ahi Tuna with mustard-beer sauce was a refreshing and flavorful start, followed by the decadent Mushrooms Stuffed with Crabmeat topped with Romano cheese. The Veal Osso Buco Ravioli and Seared Scallops were cooked to perfection, each bite bursting with exquisite flavors.
As we progressed through the courses, each dish was a culinary delight. The Bone-In Filet was incredibly tender and flavorful, while the Garlic Crusted Sea Bass and Lobster Mac & Cheese were absolute showstoppers. The Tomahawk Ribeye was a true highlight of the evening, a massive 40 oz USDA prime bone-in ribeye that was beautifully marbled and full of flavor.
The sides were equally impressive, with the Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Grilled Asparagus, and Lettuce Wedge all complementing the main dishes perfectly.
To conclude the meal, the desserts were a sweet indulgence that left us all thoroughly satisfied. The Chocolate Sin Cake, Crème Brûlée, and Cheesecake were all decadent and delicious, a perfect ending to a memorable dining experience. Despite ordering generously and treating ourselves to a variety of dishes, the bill for 8 people came out to $1,500 including tax and tip, which was a fair price considering the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed.
Overall, Ruth's Chris Steak House exceeded all expectations, providing top-notch service, exquisite food, and a truly unforgettable dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special dining experience. We left feeling full, happy, and already planning...
