This place is absolutely delicious and wonderful. The customer service is out of this world and the owner Robert and nighttime waitress are the most delightful people!
First off they took us in moments before closing, and half way through our meal Robert came out to check on us and ask what we thought about the food. I mentioned how delicious it was and how excited I was to return to taste the curry.
Minutes later he returned back with a portion of curry! We were shocked! No one has ever done that for us! It’s so clear that they put so much passion and care into their food and business.
The waitress even bagged up our food and offered a togo cup for our soda!!!
If you’ve been to Japan you’ll be sure to be transported back between the food and hospitality. Every bite is rich with umami and flavor and I am so bummed I can’t come to eat here every single day.
You can tell that the ingredients are fresh and high quality, don’t even get me started on portion size and price. 10/10 would recommend, any negative reviews on this place are probably coming from people who haven’t been to Japan or haven’t experienced authentic...
Read moreOld Pasadena seems to have a lot of two things, delicious ice cream/dessert shops, and amazing Japanese/Ramen restaurants!
I've gone to most of them, but Sato Ramen House may be my new favorite.
The karaage fried chicken with lemon mayonnaise on the side is a crowd favorite. Just the right balance of tenderness and crispness without the oily heavyness that some fried chicken can have.
I usually get Tonkotsu Ramen when I try a new Ramen joint, but this time I went with something I never tried before, the Yuzu Shio Ramen. I have to say it was amazing! Tonkotsu tends to be thicker and more savory because of its heavier pork broth.
In contrast, the Yuzu Shio Ramen is light and refreshing! It is a joy to eat and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I only wish there is an option to add extra noodles because I couldn't get enough of it!
This ramen consists of slow cooked chicken broth with Yuzu, with Chashu, 1/2 Ramen egg, lemon and lime, green onion, marinated bamboo shoots,, baby spinach, and nori.
Overall, looking over the menu, there is so much more to explore, so you can bet that we'll be...
Read moreI had my birthday dinner recently at Sato Ramen House, and I loved it. From the super-friendly and accommodating reservation call for 8 people that I made over the phone to the attentive, quick, and personal service in the restaurant, and everything in-between, everything was absolutely perfect. I am a repeat-customer, so I knew the food is delicious and top quality (my go-to is the classic Tonkotsu Ramen). Our group ordered a whole range of starters and main courses, including a number of special requests (such as vegetarian and pescatarian substitutes), requests were happily met and everybody enjoyed their meals. Also, we were warmly welcomed, and our table was ready when we arrived (which is not necessarily the case in the LA restaurant scene). I even was allowed to bring my own cake and champagne at no extra cost. And I should mention that Sato is still really reasonable with their prices. Thank you so much, Sato Ramen House, I couldn’t have made a better choice for...
