This place is absolutely delicious and wonderful. The customer service is out of this world and the owner Robert and nighttime waitress are the most delightful people!

First off they took us in moments before closing, and half way through our meal Robert came out to check on us and ask what we thought about the food. I mentioned how delicious it was and how excited I was to return to taste the curry.

Minutes later he returned back with a portion of curry! We were shocked! No one has ever done that for us! It’s so clear that they put so much passion and care into their food and business.

The waitress even bagged up our food and offered a togo cup for our soda!!!

If you’ve been to Japan you’ll be sure to be transported back between the food and hospitality. Every bite is rich with umami and flavor and I am so bummed I can’t come to eat here every single day.

You can tell that the ingredients are fresh and high quality, don’t even get me started on portion size and price. 10/10 would recommend, any negative reviews on this place are probably coming from people who haven’t been to Japan or haven’t experienced authentic...

Old Pasadena seems to have a lot of two things, delicious ice cream/dessert shops, and amazing Japanese/Ramen restaurants!

I've gone to most of them, but Sato Ramen House may be my new favorite.

The karaage fried chicken with lemon mayonnaise on the side is a crowd favorite. Just the right balance of tenderness and crispness without the oily heavyness that some fried chicken can have.

I usually get Tonkotsu Ramen when I try a new Ramen joint, but this time I went with something I never tried before, the Yuzu Shio Ramen. I have to say it was amazing! Tonkotsu tends to be thicker and more savory because of its heavier pork broth.

In contrast, the Yuzu Shio Ramen is light and refreshing! It is a joy to eat and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I only wish there is an option to add extra noodles because I couldn't get enough of it!

This ramen consists of slow cooked chicken broth with Yuzu, with Chashu, 1/2 Ramen egg, lemon and lime, green onion, marinated bamboo shoots,, baby spinach, and nori.

Overall, looking over the menu, there is so much more to explore, so you can bet that we'll be...

I had my birthday dinner recently at Sato Ramen House, and I loved it. From the super-friendly and accommodating reservation call for 8 people that I made over the phone to the attentive, quick, and personal service in the restaurant, and everything in-between, everything was absolutely perfect. I am a repeat-customer, so I knew the food is delicious and top quality (my go-to is the classic Tonkotsu Ramen). Our group ordered a whole range of starters and main courses, including a number of special requests (such as vegetarian and pescatarian substitutes), requests were happily met and everybody enjoyed their meals. Also, we were warmly welcomed, and our table was ready when we arrived (which is not necessarily the case in the LA restaurant scene). I even was allowed to bring my own cake and champagne at no extra cost. And I should mention that Sato is still really reasonable with their prices. Thank you so much, Sato Ramen House, I couldn’t have made a better choice for...

Haven't been to Pasadena in a long while and glad that we were able to try this restaurant. It was pretty packed for a Wednesday night. We waited a while to get seated, maybe 30 minutes or less. Service can be improved as the servers seemed to be short staffed last night. Both servers last night were still very accommodating to our needs. Ambiance was laid back and chill! Not too crazy loud, still "quiet" enough to have conversations while enjoying the amazing food. The chicken karaage was amazing! It was the perfect mix of savory and crunch delicious! The soft shell crab bun was very, very good too! Mind you that the mayo can be a bit spicy. And for the ramen!!! I'm usually not a Shoyu person when ordering ramen, but the reviews here just made me do it. I'm happy to say I did not regret ordering it as I was able to finish everything. Only downside with the Shoyu ramen is that it only has half of the egg.

Impressed by the name, but to be honest, not very satisfied. I commend the design of the decor for being classic Japanese, but the ramen is a very classic American Japanese ramen, which disappointed me, but the takoyaki is very authentic and I recommend it.As for the price, considering the store is located near a high street/government department, the price is not unacceptable, unless you live or work nearby, I would not recommend coming here often, but it is a good place to party or try new things. Finally, please note that the eggs in their ramen are marinated in sake, which has a relatively strong odor. If you are coming by car/have small children or alcohol allergies etc. Please don't eat those eggs

Coming from Hawaii my knowledge of Japanese cuisine is high. Chose to come here because of the 4.6 rating on Google however the rating does not match the food unfortunately. This is a my biggest pet peeve when Japanese restaurants owned and operated by non-Japanese try to sell authentic Japanese food. The food here was an abomination. This restaurant is not authentic. The tamago yaki has an imitation crab stick in the middle of it. The karaage chicken was “breaded” and my tsukumen broth was thickened with cornstarch just like how Chinese soup is thickened. I have had better ramen in an airport. This place was a disappointment and a shame to real authentic Japanese ramen. 3.9 stars at the most.
