Mama's Pizza — Restaurant in Paxtang

I got a large ham and cheese calzone with extra ricotta cheese and extra red sauce. May I say that it was absolutely delicious. Unbelievably good,we loved every bite.

I also wanted to say that, the staff, I assume the owner, was very very nice. I asked for paper plates and plastic ware because my girlfriend and I were eating in my car during a 90 minute journey home. The gentleman got me plenty of paper plates, forks, knives, and napkins. He was very very nice about it and accommodating and then I tried to pay when I picked it up even though I had paid online and he reminded me that I didn’t need to pay twice. Haha.

We got lucky because we just googled a pizza shop on Derry Street because it was a road we knew in Harrisburg and we were very very lucky to stumble upon Mama’s. When we’re going to and from Penn State games in the fall, we’ll be sure to stop in.

Thanks again for their courteous staff and their great food. This is what an authentic Italian pizza shop should be like and we were blessed to...

I've been eating here for a little over a year since I work so close. A year ago, honestly everything was sub par. I don't know what happened but a few months ago they started changing everything and it's crazy good stuff now. Meatlovers pizza goes crazy, thin crust, crispy with a good chew but not doughy, great mozzarella sticks, with its own marinara, stromboli with its own type of marinara, and don't even get me started on the cannolis. They used to be these little things with Hershey sauce on them, terrible. Now, they're big, crunchy, the filling, you can taste the ricotta. It's not just like, cake icing, it's fantastic. Yeah, they picked it up like crazy this past year. As far as inside, I don't eat inside but it's very clean, and they're always good guys. And honestly I've made large orders, and i don't think I've had to wait more than 25 minutes if even. Usually it's only 20. Fantastic...

I had a very disappointing experience with this establishment. I ordered a medium pizza, which I was told would cost $11.75. However, I was charged almost $16 without any explanation. To make matters worse, I was not provided with a receipt, leaving me with no way to verify the charge or dispute it properly, it was closing time.

When the pizza arrived, it was burnt and tasted terrible, completely unacceptable for what I paid. This is not the level of hospitality or service I expect from a business. The lack of transparency and poor food quality makes it clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here.

I would not recommend this place and strongly suggest they take steps to improve their service and integrity to take advantage of a young female...
