IHOP — Restaurant in Payson

Honestly this was the WORST dining experience I have EVER had the dissatisfaction of attending. The server, whom I had was asked three times, in an hour, to bring a glass of water to the table, told my mom to be more considerate to her because they were so busy. I told her she was the one being inconsiderate because I asked her about two other people multiple times if they would bring a glass of water to the table. She proceeded to then tell me that I was being rude to her and that she had more important things to do for other customers than getting my mom water. Immediately went to the front of house to ask to speak with management as I was asking for a glass of water and not for her to fly to the moon. Management told me she would be fired and we would have the next meal on the house. We went back because the store manager was very kind and assured me that he didn't want someone on the team who was disrespectful to customers. TWO other tables heard the exchange and literally walked out because they didn't want to risk asking for syrup and her head explode. That place, overall lost two tables of business. When we came back, we ordered and I look up and see that the waitress who had been so rude to my mother and myself was still working there. Now, she didn't need to loose her job for me to be happy but this shows me that the management there couldn't care less about customer service because he had no follow through. Poor experience, food wasnt even a redeeming quality as there was about half a cup of water on the bottom of my salad, the bathrooms were disgusting and to top it all off, they had no green whipped cream for the grinch themed pancakes and hot chocolate.

This place has gone way down hill. I have gone there twice recently and both times was a disaster. When you walk in no one helps you for a good 20 minutes. Then they tell you to write your own name on a list. The first time i went they said it would be a 15 minute wait. After waiting about an hour they skipped over me and sat someone else. When I told the hostess that she skipped over me she was very rude so I left. The 2nd time I went they said it would be a 40 minute wait but most tables were empty. I put my name down on the list and I was the first person on the list. After waiting 45 minutes they once again tried to skip over me. I stopped them right away and said I am the first one on that list and I have been waiting 45 minutes. They sat me and as I was waiting for my drink order I could hear the lady that was after me on the list yelling at them because they tried to skip over her too. I finally had my order taken and waited a very long time for my food. The people sat after me were done eating and ready to pay by the time I got my food. My food was terrible. The cheese fries were made with sliced processed cheese instead of the shredded cheese they usually use and they were hard as a rock and nasty. I was there for atleast 2 hours. The only good thing about this experience was that the waitress was very nice among a sea of server trolls whom seemed like they had no business being there. I will not be coming here again. I’ve been here twice before and it wasn’t a great experience but not the worst either. Gave it another shot today and it was terrible! We showed up and waited 10 minutes in the lobby with 13 other people before the hostess even showed up to put people on the list. Then when she showed up she didn’t apologize for the wait, took everyone’s names and how many people then walked away. In the mean time another group of 14 showed up and didn’t even acknowledge their existence until the wife stood right in front of her and pretty much told her she wanted a table. Then by the time we were finally sat it had been 30 minutes. Once we were sat our waitress came right over and felt hopeful. She took our drink and food order at the same time but didn’t bring our drinks for 30 minutes. Then 15 minutes after that we got our food. However mine was burned, I was missing my pancake that came with it, and I order over hard eggs and they came the runniest I’ve ever seen. My husband got biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were doughy and his hashbrowns were burned. We just dealt with it because we didn’t want to be there longer. Our waitress never filled our waters and only came back to bring the check and said thank you for puttting up with me.
