Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Peachtree Corners

Took my mom here. She got the full salad bar with a potato soup for a side. I got the Bigger better BLT with a side salad. Water for both.

The food itself was good. Salad bar had a decent variety. Everything kept full or close to it. The counter was clean and tidy. She said the soup was delicious. The blt was ok. Im not used to having egg and avocado in mine and the bacon is usually crisper. But thats ok. I didn't eat the chips, but they looked like regular ruffles.

The service is the problem. Ordering wasn't the issue except for when we found out later that its a one time visit to the salad bar. A policy, according to the cashier and one of the servers, that has been in place since December because of Covid. Ok, fine. It is NOT posted anywhere in the restaurant. If i had known it was a one time trip, i would've ordered a side for both of us and loaded up the bowl.

The cashier said they had a sign but were told to take it down. Ok fine. But they never stopped the policy. Never informed us of it when ordering or paying.

I was told the policy was put in place to help stop/slow the spread of germs with people touching and re-touching surfaces. Unless they're giving out gloves to everyone going to the bar, having an employee fill your plate, or meticulously sanitzing everything that's touched immediately after it's been touched, thats the most useless policy I've heard yet. There aren't even any sanitizer pumps or spray anywhere near the bar.

I get that most stores, restaurants, and companies in general are getting lax with covid. But if you're going to keep a policy in place using it as an excuse to charge full price for a measly bowl of salad, then go the whole way and leave the signs up, the sanitizer out, and tell customers up front about...

I placed a pickup order through ubereats and I wanted it done through curbside but when I got there and I called the number the guy told me that they don’t do curbside for pickup orders on Ubereats or Doordash. They only do curbside pickup orders through the Jason Delis app. I said oh well that’s fine and walked in. The restaurant was practically empty, they had 5-6 workers behind the counter and near the salad bar just conversing and hanging around. The one guy who was at the cash register was listening to music through his headphones and watching something on his phone. I decided to eat my curbside pickup order inside the restaurant and since none of the workers had anything to do, I left my trash there so that they could have something to do. After all it didn’t look much different from the rest of the restaurant because there were several other tables that still had plates left on them and no one cleaned it up. Last but not least I will be contacting both Ubereats and doordash about this location because as I alluded to earlier if they are not willing to do curbside orders for them then they shouldn’t be listed on Ubereats and/or Doordash. Staff and a management has got to do better , the customer service has to improve drastically, however I will say the food and the can sugar drink was awesome!!! So, disappointed in this location. The online app and even the store has the printed time of a 10pm closing.

So, imagine my surprise when I get there at about 9:50pm and they are closed. There are two people or three people there. While writing this review one person left. I didn't order via the app since I was about 5 minutes away. But, the app had a pickup time of 9:57pm. I should have known something was fishy when I called at 9:35pm and again when I was on my way and they would not answer.

Now, if they were short staffed and decided to close early, I understand a little. But, it sure would have been nice, if they had answered the phone, to tell me. I wouldn't be so upset, right now!

I was coming to get a seasonal item on the menu, but I guess it will be no season for me with this restaurant chain.

So, I revisited this location and was very happy with my experience! Alex A, is the best! He was so patient and helpful. I ordered the Beef Stew which is so good!!! They should offer this year round.
