M&J Caribbean Cuisine — Restaurant in Peachtree Corners

DONT EVEN ATTEMPT HERE. This place truthfully sucks! The only thing good about this place is the cleanliness of the restaurant; at least when we visited over 15 minutes ago. This food is grossly unauthentic by far. If the title of a very popular Caribbean dish is named Brown Stew Chicken, it should not be served bright red and taste like a cheap water-based spaghetti sauce. This is a total and absolute disgrace to the Caribbean Islands and culture. We should have followed our intuition and walked out when we were the only patrons in the building at the busiest part of the dinner hour.

Listen, some reviewers post for their friends and family in hopes that they will help to drive business to their businesses, but I am 100% here for the patrons, like myself, and this is the truth. I believe in giving credit and kuddos where it's due, but this is not the place for that. Trust me! I hope they read this and improve, but I am not taking any more chances to throw my hard earned money away when they are not receptive to the people suggestions that will keep them in business. Lastly, I have to warn you that once you pay, even with them knowing that their food is not authentic and palatable, they will not refund it. This is especially sad and a bad business practice because they do not have a refund posted in or outside of the establishment anywhere, but they probably will incorporate it after reading this review.

They are a scam in every sense of the word. Try it at your absolute risk because you have been HONESTLY AND GENUINELY WARNED.

Update- Tried to give Thema second chance. They are still GARBAGE! What is the point in representing your culture and country through food if you are going to water it down and alter it to be something other than what it is supposed to taste like. Maybe they learned to cook from Sesame Street Cooking school. Just a waste, and the people that rate them high have no clue about authentic...

This place exceeded my expectations. I heard about this place from a friend influencer and he reviewed the Mango Habanero Chicken. He did a great job reviewing because it piqued my interest next time I was in that area and I'm so glad I stopped by to experience first hand the delight this place gave me.

First of all their prices are insane! With everything from air to water being inflated it was an awesome change to find somewhere affordable. All their prices are clearly listed on their menu and they have such an array of proteins and sides. The pans just kept going. I was shocked honestly by their extensive options. They do allow 2 sample per person if you're stuck between choosing a protein.

I went with the rice and beans, habanero chicken, collard greens, and plantain. The portions were out of this world. She just kept piling on the food and I was so pleased with the absence of stinginess that most restaurants impose on their patrons.

I also added a beef patty and Kola Champagne. Everything came out to $21. The rice was pretty good, chicken was so tender and delicious, the greens were good but could use more seasoning or salt. The plantains were perfect.

They don't make their patties in house like most Caribbean restaurants but it was fine nonetheless. The restaurant was clean although they could use a little bit of updating or artwork to give it more of an island feel outside of the choice of paint they chose. Will...

I promise this place NEVER disappoints ! I love me some real authentic Caribbean food & genuinely this is the most gratifying & BEST restaurant I have ever been to. The customer service there is beyond words ! Very cordial & humble people 🙏🏼 The fact that I get to “taste test” a sample of their food really makes me see how substantial & deliberately they are about their home cooked food. Ornella & Gaston make me feel so comfortable when it comes to me asking questions about any item on the menu, especially since I could be very picky when it comes to certain things ! ENTIRE staff are amazing ! Lastly, one thing I loveeee here is that they continuously keep up with their cleaning policy. I’m currently pregnant & is very prudent when it comes to a hygienic restaurant, they’re so clean & definitely care about the customers.
