But after tonight’s experience, my whole family is questioning if we’ll be coming back.

Some were even standing around dancing while we—and another family—waited, with no clear answers and no estimate of when we’d actually be seated.

My daughter and I have been coming to Mojitos almost every Friday or Saturday for the las six months or so. I’m a divorced father and I get to spend time with my little girl every weekend, Mojitos had become kind of our hang out. We both like the churrasco and the lava cake. I some times switch to the red snapper or the salmon with the Mojo sauce and the plantains which I enjoy a lot, the garlic, the olive oil and the lime taste is great on the grill fish. Depending on how hungry I am sometimes, I order them twice and chase it down with a glass of white wine or a beer. Food is always good, and the service is fast and decent , but the best part has always been the live music. My little girl plays the piano so she enjoys it and so do I. We usually stay through the show or until my little girl starts to fall sleep. Today tho , I was kind of disappointed, the waitress which seemed to be nice brought me the check without me asking for it, they never done that before at least not to us. my plate was half unfinished, my second glass of wine was full and my kid was eating her lava cake still, tho the waitress, in a kind manner told me to take my time and pointed out that she was not rushing me, it actually felt like she was. I felt uncomfortable. I wanted an other glass of wine and to stay a little longer for the show, but I felt like the moment was broken, I didn’t feel comfortable anymore so we left before the show started. I don’t know , I may be exaggerating a little bit, but I couldn’t stop thinking about all the way home , maybe next time I’ll tell the waitress no to bring the check until I ask for it.
