Taqueria Del Mar — Restaurant in Peachtree Corners

Today, we returned to Taqueria Del Mar for the first time in a few years. We knew it had exchanged hands but were hopeful as it has always been a very good and consistent restaurant. How wrong were we. They were setting up photos of food and drinks with what can only be assumed were 8 managers or owners and some family members. We changed tables as the first was dirty. Our waiter was a young man who sadly did not see the importance of customer service at all but understood how to blame the customer. When our food arrived, mine was cold even though it had just been brought out, but the most comical and shocking part was my son quesadilla. Apparently, if we wanted cheese to be in it, we were told we should have ordered cheese as an ingredient. When I chuckled and questioned this. I was met with a look that I was both stupid and rude, and I was reminded we didn't order the quesadilla with cheese. So, a $13 quesadilla does not come with cheese and is also made with a 4-inch taco tortilla. It was just ridiculous. Cheese is literally in the name! With the amount of staff and lack of customers, you would have thought customer service would have been high. Unfortunately, that was far from the case, too. We were treated not only to cold and poor quality food but also treated as though we were in the way. It's a shame as this used to be a great place to go any night of the week, but not only will we not be back, I am sure others won't be also. I don't see it...

This was my first time dining here and the service was beyond bad. The first waitress quickly brought chips and salsa and got our drink order but didn’t know if they had mojitos. She returned and said that they did not. When she brought back my drink that was the last we saw of her for the evening. 20 minutes went by and no waiter was to be found. Finally, we went to the bar and asked for a waiter to come take our order. The waiter seemed like we were bothering him when we placed the order and then the food came out like 5 min later. Not once did someone came ask how our food was. It was so crazy! Then, our drinks were empty, including our waters and still, 20 min since our food had been served, no one asked if we need needed anything. Again, we went up to the bar area and ordered more drinks. Soon after, we were done with our meal and needed the check. Still, no one came by. My friend, went to find the waiter and asked for the check. He brought it and separated it incorrectly. We also asked why the Chipotle size of guac cost $6.90 and he said, “I don’t set the prices” in an annoyed tone. We both got up to go to the bar where it seemed the check out was and asked yet the 4th person at the restaurant to fix our bill. She fixed the bill and we quickly checked out and left. The food was good, but fair warning… DON’T order the guac and be prepared to be treated like you’re at a Moe’s. The service here is a joke to say...

Taqueria Del Mar.. Not too sure what to say about this place.. Ok we arrived for an early dinner so it was empty. After receiving our menu an water we waited... And waited.. And waited for the waiter to come take our order (again only 1 other table was occupied by 2 gentleman). We finally decided to try an catch our waiters eye as he was doing something behind the bar.. He didn't acknowledge us an continued what he was doing then once finished approached our table. He ordered the Pollo Tamarindo Burrito and I had short rib, carne asada, and a fish tacos. We also did a half pitcher. The margaritas were good along with the carne asada taco and burrito. The fish taco however was literally a fish stick that they tried to make pretty and the short rib taco was egh just ok. Upon paying we used a discount which took $10 off the bill. The waiter proceeded to tell me, i needed to tip him off of the original amount! I still selected 15% and he again pointed out that i tipped on the discount not the total. I started to not leave a tip because I felt the service was horrible but we went ahead an added the extra $1.
