My girlfriend and I are huge fans of the Broccoli Cheddar Chicken, which is only available on Wednesdays, from Cracker Barrel, and it is one of our absolute favorite meals. Since this item/meal is ONLY available on Wednesdays, we plan to go to Cracker Barrel at the beginning of the week so we can have it. We planned earlier in the week this week to go by Cracker Barrel after we finished some Christmas shopping, and we arrived at Cracker Barrel around 8:10-8:15. We walked up to the hostess station and asked for a table for 2. The hostess did not greet us or even say “Hi”, but she immediately stated that you know we close at 9:00 PM right! We nodded and said that yes we knew that, and she proceeded to tell us that unfortunately there is a 45 minute to be seated in the dining area. My girlfriend and I looked at one another immediately with puzzled looks on our face because there were only about 4-5 tables with people seated at them. My girlfriend asked the hostess was she sure that it was a 45 minute wait for an almost empty dining room, and the hostess very rudely stated that they were not seating any more people due to a “staff shortage” of waitresses/waiters to serve people. As ridiculous as this looked and sounded , we did not feel like pushing this any further, and as we were leaving, we could see the multiple wait staff and hostess laughing it up and just hanging out in the dining room, not serving even the 4-5 tables with people so maybe we got lucky to not be seated and receive the same horrible service these people were getting. Sadly, we will be finding a different Cracker Barrel to get our Broccoli Cheddar Chicken from.

Husband ordered southern fried chicken with hashbrown; asked for some honey!; I ordered the shrimp skillet grill, w/ side of pinto beans! Husband got his chicken, no honey.. kept looking for our waiter ; I received my skillet shrimp with no rice; did not want mashed potatoes , asked about the honey! The pinto beans were really dry! Grandson got chicken tenders and fries.., how could you mess that up?? His was good! Kept looking for our waiter ??? People were leaving; tables getting cleaned; finally asked another waitress what happened to our waiter?? We were waiting for honey; I decided to get the red potatos to sub for rice! She told us they do not have honey; and red potatos can not be removed from the other skillet meals! Told her that did not make sense! Lady manager came out… asked why our waiter never returned! Ordered from her my take out order.. chicken & dumplings with biscuits! She told me he got tied up in the back… that the skillets were pre made; can not remove any potatos from other skillet! Told her mine was NOT pre made because I had NO Rice! Finally got my take out order…NO BISCUITS! Had to wait again for them! Shrimp was good! But Service was terrible! Waiter never came to apologize! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR PREVIOUS MANAGER (Black gentlemen .. who knew everything that was happening on the floor! None of this ever happened when he was there!! Need to find him and beg him to come back before you lose all your local customers!!

I placed an online order for curbside pickup at Cracker Barrel on Memorial Day. Knowing it was a holiday, I arrived a little after my scheduled pickup time to give them extra time. After noticing a few cars come and go while I waited, I decided to go inside to check on my order. I spoke with a very kind and professional woman at the gift shop. I first asked how she was doing, and she warmly said she was doing great. I explained I had placed an order and had been waiting for over 20 minutes. She immediately went to the back to check, then returned and let me know the kitchen was just about to pack my order. In the meantime, she offered me a drink on the house, which was unexpected and very thoughtful—I had a lemonade, and it was great. Shortly after, a friendly young lady brought my order out to my car. Despite them being out of broccoli, they substituted green beans, which were delicious and didn’t disappoint. The food was fresh and flavorful, and great customer service and professional all around. Would I come back to this Cracker Barrel? Absolutely—100%! The food and service were excellent. No complaints at all. Thank you to the staff for your hard work, especially on a holiday!

I don't know if it's just THIS Cracker In barrel or all of them now, but this one is HORRIBLE!! Do not eat here! I know I'll never go back and that really disappointed me because of how much I used to LOVE Cracker Barrel. I ordered the seafood country platter and everything came out over battered and it looked like the shrimp and one piece of the fish were flash fry reheated. I never even got one of my sides (Cole slaw) that didn't even require cooking so I don't see why when I mentioned it, it still didn't come out. The other person at my table got a country boy platter. His pancakes had burnt stuff all over one of them and the other pancakes was 1/3rd of the size. The hash brown casserole looked disgusting and his eggs were over easy when he ordered over medium. The biscuits were still Pretty amazing, but we had to ask another server to get them for us then we had to ask ANOTHER server to bring jelly. When we tried to explain to a manager, he was defending everything like it was good food and we were just being "those customers". I really hate to complain about anything and I only write reviews when I'm blown away with a place whether it be good or bad. Well, I was certainly blown away.... I even tried to ask for a different manager, one that would actually look at what their kitchen just sent out and had enough sense to be able to acknowledge that the quality of the food was below anything I've ever even received from waffle House or McDonald's and they just sent the same manager out and he was very rude about doing anything other than taking one of the meals off. I would have been totally fine paying for what was worth paying for (IE: the biscuits, the watermelon spritzer, the cheese curd appetizers, and the strawberry Mimosa) but apparently that wasn't going to be an option. Food has to be inedible for me to leave a review. I don't even think my dog would've eaten that. They had, what looked to be more than a full crew of servers, yet there was a 20 minute wait and a bunch of dirty tables when we first arrived. Malcolm is the only name I remember seeing as he mocked our asking for a manager to another table. Some places have dropped in quality, but this place is garbage. Kudos to the businesses that still maintain decent customer service, that still do their jobs, and that still deliver a satisfactory product. As far as this place goes, I hope they follow their Jackson location...

I went with two other people yesterday (a saturday) around 2pm. Upon arrival the country store, ladies room and restaurant were noticeably dirty. The restaurant was not very busy but we had to wait for a table- once we were seated the table was wiped off but trash as well as a large sticky spot in the middle of the table was left. The floor was so filthy I felt compelled to ask a server if something could be done and 20 min later when someone finally came for our drink order I did just that and was met with an eye roll and told “ I’m not even your waitress…..I’m just getting your drink order”. Ive worked in the service industry for years and typically would never add to someone’s workload unless I felt it was absolutely necessary and considering I was with my grandmother who was in a wheelchair with wheels that pick up everything on the floor and the restaurant floor was covered in old food, napkins and Lord knows what else this was absolutely necessary. Things got worse from there……we should have left after waiting 20 min just for our drink orders to be taken but we hoped it wasn’t indicative of the rest of our experience. We were wrong…….we waited another 10 min to get out drinks and another 20 after that for our food orders to be taken and this was only after asking a manager if we had a server. Now, the young man who the manager sent to wait on us did a phenomenal job considering how inept the soup sandwich masquerading as his coworkers appeared to be….Back to the filthy environment that must have been acceptable to the manager who stood outside of the kitchen entrance and possibly assigned duties to his employees but from where I sat it looked like he was flirting with his younger female staff (I wasn’t close enough to hear if this was correct so take my assumption for what it is). And finally, our food came out incorrect, cold and about 45 min too late as we had been there for 90 minutes before it was brought to the table. I had not come to this restaurant in a long time bc my previous experience here was similar (yet not as bad) to my most recent visit. I will certainly not return and it’s a shame because I doubt this place will stay open here...

We went to Cracker Barrel Sunday afternoon around 3 o’clock. Walked right in. Not busy at all . The waitress seated us . She went get our utensils and proceeded to take our order. My 31 year old daughter has Tourette’s. My daughter’s tics that day consisted of eye rolling , grabbing the lamps and slapping her self. Her ‘tics were not very bad to start. Our waitress made my daughter feel very uncomfortable by constantly staring at her. It was to the point where the waitress would come back and just stare at my daughter. After about 25 minutes after we ordered we got our biscuits. The only utensils they gave us was forks. I ask the waitress for butter knives to butter our bisquits . She never showed up with the butter knives. She did come back to stare at my daughter ,which only made my daughter’s tics miserable. After about 45 minutes we received our order. We did not get anything to cut our country fried steak . When I told the waitress she went get 2 knives. She handed me the knives touching the blade .i confronted her about it. She didn’t see anything wrong with touching our utensils. She also touched my daughters straw after it was in her glass. The white gravy was so thick and cold. The has brown casserole was cold and dry . The green beans tasted like they just opened a can of green beans and put in the plate. During all of this the waitress was still constantly staring at my daughter. My daughters tics got so bad that she had to leave the table before finishing the meal. . I talked to the waitress about how uncomfortable and upset my daughter was because of her constant staring. My daughter loves Cracker Barrel but never wants to go back. This was the worst experience we ever had at a Cracker Barrel. . Employees should be trained on how to deal with people with special needs. The manager did deduct money from our ticket. I would much prefer to have my daughter enjoy her meal than to get a discount. Do better...
