I haven’t had Logan’s in about 10 years, so me and my husband decided to try it instead of going to Juicy Seafood. Before we even sat down, the three hosts that were up front were very welcoming, so the atmosphere started well, but once we sat down, it took 9 minutes for us to even get our drink order. The server did say he was going to be a few minutes and would get our drink order after that time. We went ahead and put in our fried mushroom order when he came to grab our drinks. He comes back with an extra drink for all of us as a refill before we even drank our drink. That just comes off lazy and you shouldn’t load up a table when someone has a 14 month old baby.
We received our anpp only to have big chunky mushrooms fried up and VERY wet. Some advice on that, sliced mushrooms are a much better idea; those would have been much more enjoyable. Great sauce though.
I would like to take this moment to let you know it’s been 40 minutes since we sat down to receive our entrees. Our server gave us a heads up when asking to grab our extra plates that our food was up, but he didn’t grab it. A weird interaction. You probably shouldn’t tell a customer you saw their food and didn’t grab it. lol.
I ordered the Surf and Turf Trio, my steak was cooked well and tasted good, but my sweet potato needed another 20 minutes in the oven, because it was a little hard. The crab cakes were very much imitation crab, so that was a let down, and flavorless. I asked for remoulade, but it was WAY too sweet and did not help. My son loved the green beans, but they just tossed those out the can and didn’t do anything to spice them up. He’s only 14 months to put that into perspective on why he ate them.
That’s not even the worst part about the food.
My husband ordered the ribeye with a Caesar salad and loaded potato. The salad took a moment to come out, but when it did, it was far too much dressing on it to even enjoy..
My husband could barely cut into his steak because it was so overcooked to show the server. He wanted it medium, but it was well done to say the least. The potato was undercooked. The server did ask if we wanted to get the steak recooked, but we had been there so long, we didn’t even want to do that. He took just the steak off our check, to which we said was fine.
Not the best experience, and unfortunately probably not going to give this...
Read moreMy server has something going on inside. She came from behind when she came to my table to ask what I wanted to drink without making eye contact. She didn't make eye contact when she brought the water either, putting it on the table, turned around quickly and left without asking me if I was ready to order. She came from behind when she came to ask if I was ready to order never looking me in the eye or even at my face as well. When she delivered my food she put it on the table and quickly turned around heading back to the kitchen without asking if I needed anything else. She did return in a few minutes and asked me if I needed anything else though. That was the end of our interaction until she came from behind to pre-bus a plate of dinner rolls/buns. I had pushed them off to the side because they were too cold to melt the butter. She grabbed the plate without saying anything and was on her first step away when she did stop and ask if I was finished with them but never asked if everything was okay. It was plain to see they were opened up with unmelted butter all over them. I told her everything was okay. After I finished my meal which was done nicely by the kitchen I took 5 minutes or more to relax and sip water while waiting on the bill. Suddenly she came from behind took my plate AND the water in midstep without asking if I was done or wanted dessert and zipped right off to the kitchen. I took it she was telling me she was done with me and my stay at Logan's Roadhouse was over. I felt it was better to overlook her strangeness not take it personal not confront her and hope she has a better rest of her evening. I left her...
Read moreI visited November 2 for my birthday supper. We arrived and checked in with the host and was told 20-25 min. We were seated in that time and our waitress came to us quickly and got our drink order as we weren't ready with our meal order yet. She returned again a few minutes later got our order and returned to kitchen to place it. A total of about 15 minutes had elapsed after being seated.
The night was busy but, our order was brought to our table 1 hour after our waitress left our table. When it arrived my sides were cold, my steak the Logan, was a large lump of warm unseasoned beef with grill stripes. My wife ordered surf and turf and her shrimp were so over cooked she thought the shell was still on them, and they were cold too. Her steak was cool and unseasoned too.
The only reason I have a problem with my order coming out in an hour time is that 5 other people's orders were taken after ours and they received their order and had time to eat and leave before we received our order.
Nearing the end of our time our son asked for a drink refill, this took nearly 10 minutes. When she returned we asked for the check and to-go boxes this took another 10 minutes. She handled the bill quickly and we left.
This experience is one of two less than favorable at a Logan's in the past few weeks. One here in the Pearl location and the other in Flowood. Two stars because the waitress was very kind and apologetic for the very long time taken for our food. One star because I can't give zero to the establishment, and one because the waitress was kind, but her kindness didn't help her inattentiveness, so there is only 1...
