I have been to this restaurant several times, whether it was to hang out with family and friends or just have glaucoma dip, queso dip or to have a drink. It has always been nothing but good, even though the service is horrible, the food made up for it.
On Friday night my daughter was hungry, so after church service, she contacted a friend to meet us at Salsa. She ordered a #44, which included chicken breast over a bed of vegetables with cheese sauce on top. I ordered a large cheese dip and the friend likes there homemade tortillas and place an order, they gave him two orders.
The cheeses dip tasted horrible, as though something was spoil( maybe the heavy cream or milk) that was use in preparing the dip. So, I sent it back, they brought me another bowl that tasted the same way, I sent it back. When my daughter received her food, it was the same cheese dip on top of that, she sent it back, but when we received the ticket, they had charged us for her entire plate, even though she sent it back. I begin telling him we was not going to pay for a dish that we did not eat, he begin to say he tasted the dip, it was nothing wrong with it and he has had customers all day and they haven’t complained about the cheese dip. He was so angry because I wouldn’t pay for the dip, he charged us for the complimentary chips and salsa.
Mexicans are money hungry and they don’t want to take “NO” for an answer, but he was wrong!! I paid for the salsa because I didn’t want trouble with Pearl Police are Department. I have never agreed with Trump’s behavior, but maybe he should pay them a VISIT, I understand totally of why he doesn’t want them in the states!! Simply because they are get overs and scam on other people! Never again, will I eat at this Salsa and I will encourages each of you to think twice before going there!!! They begin to speak in there language together because they knew that we didn’t speak there language! Don’t...
Read moreThe worst dining experience of my life. On 3/23/19 visited this location. We received horrible service. Manager/Cashier would not remove 2 margaritas that were not drunken. My wife ordered her 1st one. It was watered down. She asked waiter if Texas Margarita was better. He said yes and brought her back the same drink we sent back. Then the food came. It was horrible, my wife never attempted to eat her food. Upon our disappointment I requedted the check. To my surprise the drinks we sent back were on the check. I asked the waiter if he could remove the drinks. He pointed to the cashier and was told to speak to her. I approached the cashier and person I assume is the manager. I asked her if she could remove the 2 margaritas and my wife's food since she did not touch the food and was displeased with her drinks. I was told no. I explained again and pointed to my table to show that not a grain of rice was eatten. I pleaded that while I did not enjoy my food. I was more than willing to pay for our queso and my food. I was told since it came to my table I had to pay. At this point a different waiter than the one who served me joined in practically getting in my face. I paid the bill at my wife's urging and left. I then called and asked to speak with a manager and was denied by the person on the phone. I then wrote a letter and sent via us postal with confirmation of receipt. I never received a phone call or letter of apology. This place is horrible. Bad food, bad service and lack...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for 3 years and had the worst serve I’ve ever experienced on my birthday. Restaurant wasn’t crowded. Place wasn’t that busy. Waiter was busy macking on customers. Drinks were empty for over 15+ minutes. Couldn’t even get the waiter to bring the bill because he was too busy trying to take a drink girl home, ended up going to the front counter to get the bill. I always leave an extremely generous tip as service has hardly been sub par even on the busiest of nights. Bill is usually $60 dollars and typically leave well over 40-50% for a tip when service is decent. I’ve worked service industry and know how it is some times. When I tell you to I’ve got better service at a Waffle House during a hurricane I’m not exaggerating. Helen Keller could have bumped into our table and knew we needed something. It’s sad to see that this restaurant that used to be a weekly staple in our home has completely fallen down the list of things we don’t want to...
