Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Pearland

The food is amazing! It was my fiancé and I's go to place for our date night, unfortunately we had a really bad experience last time we went so I don't think we'll be back :(

I'm allergic to citrus and we've never had a problem before, but we went last week and it was a nightmare. I ordered fajitas (which I've ordered before) and told the waitress of my allergy. She took my order, then came back and said I couldn't eat the fajitas. I told her I've ordered them before and they just leave off the marinate. She left and got a manager who told me I couldn't eat the fajitas and that if I really wanted them, she could cut up some chicken tenders and I could eat that as fajitas. I felt so embarassed and humiliated and just said 'ok' because I felt like everyone was looking at our table and didn't want to ruin our date. Manager left and the waitress came to tell us I actually could eat the fajitas and they'd just not put the marinate on. At this point, I just wanted to leave, but we'd been there for a while so my fiancé insisted we stay and eat our meal. In the end, it took almost forty minutes for us to get our food and I didn't even want to eat it after what happened.

I understand that food allergies can cause delays in the kitchen and be a little confusing for restaurants, but I felt like the way it was handled was really wrong. All the other managers at this Chili's have always been really sweet and understanding, but this one manager made me feel absolutely humiliated and embarassed. I mean, chicken tender fajitas? I felt like she was treating me like a child when I just wanted to enjoy a date night at one of my favourite...

I'm not normally a "Karen" but I need a moment:This place was terrible. Our first visit to this location was today and we won't be going back, ever. The customer service was OK until she told me that they had the wrong soup and then told me I would have to wait for them to defrost it. I mean, who tells their customer that their soups are frozen? The free "chips and salsa" tasted: 1. As of they were right out of the fridge (I prefer warm crunchy chips), 2. Were so greasy they were bending, 3. were so salty, and 4. The salsa was worse than Pace. I had the waitress take them back. Every one of our meals were terrible except for my daughter's pizza. My son's chicken pasta kids meal had crunchy pasta, as if it were reheated in a microwave, dry. I'm still burping and partially regurgitating my southwest ranch quesadilla. I ended up just changing the soup I ordered because we had plans for a movie and I wasn't going to wait for the soup to be reheated. My husband got the shrimp and chicken fajitas and he said the rice was bland and not even spanish rice but instead some sort of Cajun spice was in it and the shrimp and chicken were rubbery from being previously frozen. So for $18 you would expect it to be a lot better. We've lived in Texas for 11 years now and have been to a Chili's only 3 times. Sorry, Chilli's, you're disgusting and nobody wants you. Karen...

Food is always perfect and taste great, portion sizes are pretty big as well. We had a waitress that was really good not sure what happened to her. One person was in training she was fine. But before that we had a lady that only checked on us to take order give food etc. We had to keep asking other employees walking by for stuff. That's why i only gave 4 stars. When u get a good waitress i love this place but its annoying to have to ask for drinks and to go boxes and the check cuz someone never checks on u. Also had to wait a long time before they even came to our table to take drink order.

This is a Throw away account cause i need the money and don't want to get fired but i am tired of corporate not taking these issues serious. The Kitchen is a mess every now and then the fryer acts up and that's because no one cleans it! the fryer has the dirtiest black oil the drain always gets clogged with old moldy food. if your crispers look too dark and weird you know why. Non of the cooks wear gloves, there was mold on so many of the food was embarrassing. Cooks harass all female workers to them age is not an issue. servers harassing cooks, Hosts, even guests!
