This time because of Luis (professional & so kind new assistant manager) everything was perfect for my friend and I. A few months ago, I ordered a cup of soup. It was only half full. I asked Briana (rude assistant manager/manager) why my cup wasn't a full cup. She stated that was how they served a cup. Her delivery was rude with the combination of her facial expression and her tone. Genesis (our amazing and sincere waitress) knew I wasn't happy. She asked me what had happened and I told her. Genesis said she'd make it right. She asked Kathy (the kitchen manager with gracious social skills) to come speak with us. I told her what I had been told by Briana. Her answer was that a cup should be eight ounces and no less. She also shared that they had run out of the tomato basil soup. I let Kathy know that if I had known I would have ordered another soup. Although I'd rather pay for a good meal as opposed to receiving a free meal ... Kathy comped my meal and gave me a different soup to go. The good new is: 1 - Luis, Kathy & Genesis are working at First Watch on Pearland Parkway. 2 - Briana is at another location in hopes of assisting her to acquire improved managerial skills. I honestly wish...
Read moreI have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I came out to eat breakfast to celebrate a friend’s birthday. For starters seating took over 40 mins for 5 adults and 3 children with high chairs. We understood maybe the delay with needing a semi bigger table to fit all of us but the restaurant wasn’t that full. There were still plenty of tables around empty. As we got seated we were greeted well by our server. We had our drinks and order taken accordingly. My biggest issue was the wait time and how they managed handing out our food. After waiting for our food we saw our server come out with some plates. We got excited thinking we were going to eat already. She hands plates to Half of the people in our table! And we think “Okay no problem! Our food will be out shortly afterwards” … yea no. By the time we received our food our other half of the party was almost done eating. It was so depressing not being able to enjoy our food together and with the fact that we’re already hungry and seeing everyone else in our table eat. Food was okay to me. The eggs and sausage was good but was not a fan of the pancakes. They tasted too grainy for me. Might come back to give it another try. Hopefully it all...
Read moreEDIT- we came back a year later and we had a great experience. The quality of food was there and so were the house made jams. Our server Maria was excellent in service. Thank you!
It seems that the quality of the food has decreased since we have last been to this location. There was a big visible AC leak upon entrance. We did not receive one of the items we ordered (the cornbread) so after being halfway through our meals we asked our server to take it off the ticket. I ordered the tri-athlete which the menu claims to come with house made preserves. The preserves were a small plastic smuckers and the toast was dull. The pico de gallo was watery, which only happens if it’s not fresh. My kids scrambled eggs tasted like powder eggs from a hotel. The salt shaker/grinder was humid so none of the salt came out. The restrooms were dirty and overall look to need some attention. I don’t know what happened but we won’t be back. Our server was great and attentive —...
