El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Pearland

I love the friendliness of the people, especially manager Yolanda and the other guy cant remember his name. I dont have much issues with eating here everything is usually cooked well. And if i have any issues the managers are very quick to help make it better or apologize. I have more issue with the company switching out the good corn for plain corn and removing my light creamy cilantro. But that isnt a reflection on the location its self. The salad is what keeps me coming back more than anything else. Would recommend. And if u have any real issues just speak to manager, they are super friendly.

UPDATE: I took a star away because they closed without notice, says temporary but still unsure. Both me and mom have a free tostada and it expires tomorrow and the nearest location is 17 miles away and in houston which is to far for us. And now we don't know if they will even honor that free tostada when they re-open if they re-open.

10/2/2022 still closed went a week or 2 ago and it still says temporarily closed

10/27/2022 Update I gave them back their stars now that they reopened. Their food was as good as always. Wish The company its self would have responded to people comments of why were they closed. The manager there says that he cant respond to the google reviews which is dumb on the companies part.

8/72023 Update they aren't as good since management changes. One time they wouldn't give me cilantro when ive been going for years this time they gave me some but it wasn't great and barely gave me any and they always gave me extra cilantro to go on my salad. This time they put rice and beans when i asked for no beans and rice on the side. The shredded chicken quesadilla only had toppings in the center part and the 2 ends had so little i scrapped what i could and put it in the center piece. Its really disappointing because makes me and mom not wanna go here hardly anymore when this used to be our favorite place. Also seems like they've been giving less chicken than normal.

2/16/2024 Update they have been better and have reopened the self serve of the cilantro salsa etc which is nice. Used to be a pain the have to ask for it even tho last time it wasnt stocked it usually is. The chicken portion...

I have had excellent times with El Pollo Loco always providing the same thing with good quality and excellent taste

But this branch puts that name to shame I have eaten El pollo Loco too many times to count because i truly love the restaurant however my experience today was mediocre i dare say even terrible i have always known El Pollo Loco to have fresh ingredients but all of it tasted half way rotten this was the worst El Pollo Loco i've ever been too would not be back

Don't come here expecting quality i have been to so many other El Pollo Loco's and have received superb quality of food but this was downright terrible.

And usually the portions you get are much larger than what i received i would hope that they would be more consistent but this time was not good at all

I highly recommend El Pollo Loco but just not this place because I've never received avocado that was this rotten and how the chips didn't taste fresh at all and how everything was just portioned so small i actually thought it was a knock off instead of...

This place sucks! First time to eat here and I ordered a bowl. If it wasn't bad enough that the chicken was extremely dry... to the point it was inedible... I kindly take it to the assistant manager which offered to make me amother one... the general manager didn't see me standing there when he asked about what was wrong with the bowl and he shook his head in disagreement and mumbled something. Sooo... I told him that in fact it was dried.. and that I saw him shaking his head... that he should try to eat that himself to see it was bad. He kept repeating I was getting a new one. Completely missing the fact that he should be all about service and QUALITY of the food. Absolutely has no personal skills and I'm not sure why he's the general manager. Poor attitude and the food was just not good. I'm definitely not returning and will let friends and family know not to waste a visit here. Also I forgot to mention the avocado was also inedible... all black and too...
