Zero stars Edited to add: Despite the response from the owner claiming to want to correct it, they have not been in touch with me. When I contacted Salata customer care care, they referred me back to the owner. The vicious cycle of poor service.
💲💲💲💲My $5000 salad! 💲💲💲💲I loved Salata until I didn't. Buyer beware! I recently ordered a salad and had my bridge work damaged by something in the salad mix. I was chewing and bit into what felt like sand or some hard grainy thing in the salad. I banged my teeth and immediately felt a break, pain and knew there was a problem. I scheduled with my dentist and emailed Salata customer care. Tina Moore (district manager) found my information from the loyalty program called me. She was very sympathetic, apologized for the problem, told me of similar issues with olive pits in the past. She reassured me that they would take care of it. She referred my case to Hartford insurance for the claim.
Paul called me and asked what happened. I told him of my experience and shared with him my dentists' treatment plan with the expectation that they would cover my expenses (about $5k for the 3 affected teeth).
After a couple of days, I tried to contact Tina for next steps and got no response. I sent a follow-up to Salata customer care, called the store and got reassurance that they took my concern seriously and would make it right.
I was just notified that they will not cover the damage caused by eating what I believe was improperly washed salad. I will not be returning to this chain. Between food hygiene concerns and the now this costly dental bill, I caution you too. It is not worth it! To think I entered the salad for life contest!...
Read moreI usually love this location and visit often, but I was really disappointed today. I walked in during my lunch break because I enjoy their wraps. When I went to order, one lady asked what I wanted, and I said, "a wrap." Since she seemed busy with a DoorDash order, I repeated myself just in case she didn't hear me. Then, a second lady came over and took over my order, giving the first lady a bowl to work with.
As we reached the end of my order, I clarified that I wanted a cool wrap. The second lady looked at me and then at the first lady, who was busy with the DoorDash order. The first lady then said, "No, we can't do that; that's a regular salad bowl." I explained that I wanted a wrap, but she insisted that they couldn't do it . On top of that, they had already messed up my order by giving me regular shrimp instead of the chipotle shrimp that I requested. I should've just left, but I didn't have time to go somewhere else during my break, so I asked for a tortilla on the side instead.
I paid about $21 for my meal, and for that amount of money, they could have just made me a wrap. I usually love this location, but it's disappointing that they wouldn't accommodate their mistake, especially after spending so much. But I wanted to add the following: After I posted the review below, Salsta contacted me, asked me to download the app, and offered to put points in my account for future use. WELL, I BELIEVED THEM, downloaded the app, set up an account, and NOTHING!!! No points were added. No rewards were issued. Instead I got another email saying the case was closed.
How dare they!!! What's the point in replying to my candid review and making me believe they actually care? Ugh. What a major letdown.
