Me and my girlfriend wanted to go on a date and have some soup dumplings. After a bit of searching, I noticed Noodle Master had a 4.7 star rating. Such a high score must mean the food is great! We drove almost an hour to get there. When we get there, we used the bathroom since it was a long trip. The bathroom reeked. The men's bathroom smelled like a turtle tank was uncleaned for 2 month and the turtle died. I'm not exaggerating. Everytime the bathroom door was opened by someone, it could be smelled across the dining area. We ordered the green onion pancakes and the cheese wontons. The pancakes were really good, the only highlight of the entire experience. Wontons were dissapointing. We then ordered pan fried dumplings, soup dumplings, and the black garlic spicy tonkotsu ramen. The order was messed up and had to be fixed. The dumplings were barely edible. I've had better quality soup dumplings in the frozen section of Walmart. Tasted tainted. The ramen was the worst. There was a solid half inch of chili oil. This ramen was more red than kool-aid. AND IT WASN'T EVEN SPICY! It was ridiculous. The broth was completely bland. It was so bad, I asked to swap it out since I literally couldn't eat it. Thankfully they agreed to swap the food out for something else. I chose the beef fried rice. By the time the fried rice came out, me and my girlfriend were sick to our stomachs. The fried rice was passible. We decided to take the rice home and spruce it up ourselves since we were feeling sick. The entire time, not a single waitress checked in on us. The only time we spoke to a waitress was when we waved to get their attention. Food was a huge disappointment, the ramen was atrocious for a place called noddle master, the reek of the bathrooms could be smelled across the dining area, waitresses struggle to understand what we were saying and only checked on us when we flagged them down, and both of us feel sick to our stomachs. Maybe we had bad luck and this isn't the norm, but we had a horrible experience and will never be...
Read moreI'm not one to ever leave a review, but you deserve to know about the quality of this place. We have eaten here four (4) times. The first time I called in an order which went well.
The second time I went in to get an order of Kimchi to go because I lived in Korea for a year, love the stuff and this stuff is a reasonably good representation.
The 3rd time I placed an order to go. The Kung Poa Chicken didn't have any peanuts, so I called in to let them know. The manager (a difficult Chinese woman) acted like she didn't understand me, but I pressed and received the silly response of, "He's new". Not "Sorry, he's new". So, I asked her, "Well, who's fault is that?' She kind of laughed and gave me some run around about making it right the next time. I told her I called to let her know so that someone wouldn't be disappointed when they placed an order. I'm not sure they understood my point.
Today (3/924) we went in to place and sat at a table to place an order to go; to be fare they didn't know we wanted the order to go. The manager came out to take our order. I asked if I could have the chicken and broccoli spicy because it isn't spicy on the menu. "No" is the response. Why not other items are marked as spicy if chosen as such. Whatever.
I was told it comes with steamed rice, "Is that alright?" I asked if I could have fried rice and was told, "Yes you can." When my wife said the order is "to go", it pissed off the manager and took a about 20 minutes to complete. When we got home, I didn't get the fried rice I requested, but I didn't get charged extra. The point is that the manager doesn't listen and you don't get what you want.
Just make sure your order is totally understood. Have them read the order back to you. I...
Read moreOur first visit was a complete disaster. We arrived around 4 PM on a weekday, expecting a pleasant experience, but we were sorely disappointed by the lack of service and overall treatment.
We were a group of five—three adults and two toddlers. Upon entering, there was no clear signage directing us to wait to be seated or to seat ourselves. We awkwardly stood by the entrance for about a minute, being stared at by roughly 10 employees who were positioned in various areas of the restaurant, all within perfect view of us. Despite my attempts to make eye contact and seek assistance, not a single employee greeted or acknowledged us.
Assuming we were to seat ourselves, we found an empty table by the windows and sat down. Several minutes passed without any contact from the staff. A family then emerged from the restroom area and pointed at us. Shortly after, a waitress hurried over, telling us to move because we were at their table. I apologized and explained our confusion due to the lack of clear instructions. She curtly informed us we were supposed to wait to be seated and walked off.
After several more awkward minutes of being completely ignored, we decided to leave. We support small businesses in Pearland and the surrounding communities, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. We were treated so poorly that we will never return. There are many locally owned restaurants in Pearland that prioritize their guests and provide a positive experience, and we’ll be supporting...
