Pho Prime opened two days ago and is a sister concept to crawfish cafe (my all time favorite restaurant) but pho, noodle bowls, spring rolls, etc.

And it was so good the first day that I went back again yesterday!

I've tried the following:

Brisket and shrimp spring rolls - this was a good portion and pricey for two spring rolls but worth it because they use very high quality meat and very fresh greens.

Banh Mi Pho Dip: wow, the flavors are incredible. It really reminds me of the strength of home cooking that my mom makes. It was like the sandwich and pho broth were made for each other.

Honey lemongrass bun bowl: the nuoc mam is on point! I like that it isn't watered down. I got a side of The honey vinaigrette but definitely get the fish sauce. It's so cool that all bun bowls come with a big side of chicken broth! I loved it!

Banh mi bo kho: I love that it comes with tendon! I haven't seen that anywhere else.

Bun bo hue (spicy beef soup): the flavor is reminiscent of sitting at home on a Sunday as a kid in the 90s after church aka spicy and full of flavor! I was so surprised that they made it spicy (pre-addition of the lemongrass sate). The extra sate gave me a runny nose which is how I love the BBH!

Pho Meatball (kids edition): they have a generous amount of noodles and all of the fixings. The meatballs were delicious (I stole a bite of my 2 year old daughter's pho). She thoroughly enjoyed the meatballs and drank a bunch of broth, super flavorful!

It is pricey but when you get very high quality ingredients with incredible flavor, to me, it's worth it!

The staff is also super kind and friendly. I'll definitely be back again and again!

I ate my food too fast the last two days so I'll update later with photos next...

Pho Prime is new to the area and was the next stop on our list to try as a local pho spot.

While the pho had a great flavor (Day 1) and the restaurant is well kept. There were a few flaws to take note. (Day 2 - June 2nd) Was a complete miss!!! We couldn't stomach the Pho past 2 bites! There was so much salt that it was impossible to eat.

(Day 2) We informed our server who shrugged it off and said ,"Maybe it will be better tomorrow." Nothing was done to correct it, and I'm sure they are still serving this to customers today. Needless to say we left!

Service can be a bit slow, we were unable to get refills, our check, or anything else during our visit. Once our order was placed and food delivered, service was non existent. Which was sad when it wasn't busy.

Prices are on the higher side to other competitors in the area.

I do NOT recommend ordering the spring rolls. These are not made fresh to order, these are premade and held in a refrigerator waiting to be served.

Day 1 - I found the bowl to have a great consistency between meat and noodles. It was the perfect size to me. The broth was delicious, definitely different to others I've tried.

This could be a hit or miss for people in the area depending on the day. But should you have a BAD experience, FYI. Management doesn't care!!!

Let me know: How was your visit?

Not your typical pho joint where you sit down for a full service. This place offers a more modern take with counter service. You order at the counter and they will bring your food to your table. Unfortunately, this also causes the line to back up at the counter because first time customers may hold back the line to decide what they want to order. This is definitely a once in a while visit restaurant not a weekly visit due to the cost. Spent roughly $60 with tip for two bowls + side of oxtail.

Pho - I believe their meatballs are made in house. The meatballs were tender and full of deep flavors. This is probably the highlight of the pho bowl. But not enough to justify a $12 for a bowl of pho.

BBH - Of the 3 places in Pearland that offer BBH, this place wins first place in my books. The soup was full of deep flavor. The meats and noodles could be cooked a little longer. They were more on the al dente and tough to chew. I wished vegetable sides included fermented shrimp paste and chili oil.

Side of Oxtail - This was a disappointment because it was 90% fat. Couldn’t eat anything...
