Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Pekin

We ordered a giant sandwich and wrap and paid $7 for extra bacon. We got the food delivered, low and behold there's no bacon on it. So I call it in, mistakes happen I understand, but it's the call in that is why I'm making this review. The lady on phone asked us if we checked in between all the meat and if we just missed the bacon. No. We paid for extra bacon. If it's possible for us to miss it that would be crazy. But we had already done that with both pieces of the giant. She then said, well we're gonna need that sandwich back. Returning the sandwich is no problem, that's pretty standard. But the way she talked made it seem like she didn't believe us and couldn't be bothered to help. It was as if she thought we were lying and just trying to get a free sandwich. And then we had to wait twice as long to get the remake compared to getting it when we first ordered. It's just frustrating, acting like we're lying and then we waited a long time to get the correct one. No apologies...

The other day I went to get a sandwich here, and usually Jimmy johns is freaky fast. Well none of the workers had asked me if everything was going ok while I had waited for my sandwich to be made because after about 10 mins of waiting. I had to be back to work very soon and looked over the counter after noticing two driver thru orders had gone out and asked the workers "excuse me but where is my food"? The deer and headlights look I received had given me all the answers I had needed to know. They had forgot about my order. Well come to find out they didn't put my ticket on the trey to be made. I was able to go-to the dispensary quicker than getting my food at Jimmy John's 😂! I never would of thought thatd be the case. I loved my sandwich that day, tasted really good but the experience was one to report back on...

What's up Pekin, Illinois? Did you guys lose your expectations? Born and raised there and returned home for family business. It started with my favorite breakfast at Bob Evans. Food was OK at best but hands down worst service of my life and I'm 59! Then I ordered Jimmy John's for dinner. The exact same order I have where I live and there when I'm done there's not a sliver of lettuce left. I wish I could leave you a pic of what was left from my Pekin, Illinois experience! First asked for extra napkins and mayo packets. No mayo and literally 1 napkin. Very little meat and mostly lettuce. I could have made a side salad with the excess! Tomato was so tough you couldn't break it with your fingers, and bread was so hard I had to tear off...
