I feel like people only write reviews when they want to say something bad but here’s my good experiences at Starbucks! I would just like to say that I visit this Starbucks almost everyday and i’ve always gotten such great service. Whether I go right as they open or show up near closing, they are always SO friendly. One guy (I wish I knew his name but I’m too awkward to ask what it is) even remembers my name and greets me every time he sees me. He probably doesn’t realize how much that means for someone with social anxiety he just does it because he cares. Coming here is like catching up with friends with how they treat customers. Next, I would just like to say that it is always clean. They have so many people come in everyday yet maintain it so well. Even from what you can see behind the counter is impressive. The tables are always ready for the next customer and I’ve never seen one employee not properly wearing their masks! The next thing I would like to point out is obviously how good their drinks are. I used to get a chocolate chip frappe every single time since that’s all I got as a kid but the staff at Pekin Starbucks have helped me get out of my comfort zone and try so much more. I mean I literally love coffee now! And I know people complain about prices but don’t care to realize that the employees don’t choose them. I’ve worked two fast food jobs, I know how it is. But overall the drinks are great but they aren’t what keeps bringing me back, the staff is. This review may seem specific and stupid but I just wanted to appreciate a team of people that might not always get appreciated. Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed
Read moreI’m not one to complain, everything is usually great, I come almost everyday. The past few times I placed mobile orders and go through the drive through, there has been a gentleman, middle aged, working it, and handing off the drinks. Today was just exceptionally bad customer service. When I pulled up to the window, he just turned to look at me and I smile and say hello. He walks off, goes and grabs the drinks and food, me saying thank you after each reach. I asked if I could have two straws after he hands the drinks to me, reaches to get the straws, hands them to me, I say thank you again and he turns away from me and he was done. I never once got a word out of him up at the window, the attitude was almost that of me inconveniencing him. I manage a facility just down across the street that is HIGHLY big on customer service first over anything. My employees and I are here daily, if not multiple times a day and everyone is almost always fantastic, great attitude, and always seem so willing to be helpful and kind. But this gentleman has left a bad taste in my mouth the few past times he has been working the drive through. (6 espresso shots poured over ice in a Trenta cup and topped with heavy cream) Today the drive thru guy told me they can't put the cold coffee espresso shots over ice in a Trenta cup, only a venta cup. I advised that I have ordered this drink for the past 4 years and even had it at the Pekin store. He proceeded to tell me there isn't a button for that. (I thought SB was about getting the $8 coffee made how I wanted, not about having to push a button). Get to the window and he proceeded to prove his statement even after I told him I wasn't interested in discussing it. He just kept talking about how there isn't a button to push for that drink andI how he had to do extra work to modify it. Then I get my drink and its 2/3 empty. (For my $8 drink) went to Lincoln SB and got my drink with no problems. I stopped in at Bloomington last Monday and had this drink. So not only was I treated rude, I didn't get my drink that I paid for and I had to deal with an argumentative guy and wait till I got to Lincoln to get my correct...
