Rick's Steakhouse & Lounge — Restaurant in Pembroke Park

Rick’s Steakhouse & Lounge was an overall disappointment. My fiancé and I went to watch a UFC fight on March 8th and while the ambiance was decent, the food and service were severely lacking.

The food was, simply put, flavorless. The pasta dish was the worst offender—just plain noodles with a bland, chopped mushroom sauce. The mac and cheese? Nothing more than pasta with a watery, tasteless cheese sauce. The mashed potatoes had zero seasoning. I asked multiple times for salt, and the waitstaff either ignored me or said they would get it but never did.

The service was just as underwhelming. The host, whose name I believe was Justin, seemed agitated from the start. The waiters were slow, inattentive, and disorganized. We weren’t the only ones experiencing this—there was a table of eight in the middle of the lounge dealing with the same issues. We overheard one of them complaining about the lack of service, and before we were even served, they were already talking about how bland the food was.

To make matters worse, we noticed one young woman leave abruptly, seemingly feeling ill, and her friend followed shortly after. As they left, I overheard her asking if it was the pasta that made her sick.

The only saving grace? The truffle fries. Crispy, well-seasoned, and the only thing remotely enjoyable for either myself and fiance.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place and hesitate to even call it a steakhouse. The food is bland, the service is dismal, and based on what we witnessed, food quality might even be a concern. Save your money and go...

This place is attached to Scarlett's adult entertainment building and part of the business but the inside has a nice cozy atmosphere with a classic black pool table very comfortable seating with an elegance of its own in a soft dimly lit atmosphere. When we arrived the valet wanted $20 to park in a handicap spot because it was a valet area well we paid it and spoke to Frank the manager who went ahead and comped us around a drinks because he didn't feel that's just either. So thank you Frank for that very much I don't think handicapped people should have to pay to get a parking spot near a door when you can't walk more than 50 ft. The steaks were amazing along with the drinks made by a wonderful cocktail waitress who was also our bartender she was phenomenal Frank was fantastic The display of the food was very well said on the plates I had a 14 oz ribeye My wife had the 10 oz filet mignon and my friend also had the ribeye they were cooked perfectly the smashed potato parmesan was fantastic and the service just kept on coming so I have to say what I eat here again absolutely maybe once or twice a month now we really love his place if you want really good food this is a great place to eat for a wonderful steak I've paid over 100 to $120 for steak that's good it was fabulous no they're enjoy yourself eat a lot oh and don't forget the butter cake at the end it is supreme!! The sides were equally impressive, from the creamy mashed potatoes to the sautéed spinach.

Throughout the meal, the staff ensured that our glasses were never empty and that every need was promptly attended to. The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant yet inviting, making us feel right at home.
