I was in town and searched for a Jamaican restaurant in the area and found this one, I called in and placed my order to avoid a long wait since I had children that were hungry I needed to figure out dinner for and hadn’t eaten all day. When I called in, whoever answered the phone was very direct and blunt no customer service skills or greeting at all, after completing my order they asked my phone number and hung up the phone without repeating my order, telling me the price or the when it would be ready. I figured I’d give about twenty minutes and headed to the restaurant for pick up. I get to the front and repeat my order and pay, I take a seat assuming my food isn’t ready yet. This was a bit strange since I saw everyone receiving their orders and new customers arriving and leaving in a timely manner as well. Time passed and I must’ve zoned out I looked down at my receipt to notice it had been almost an hour I had been sitting there. I go up to the counter to ask about how much longer and the woman asks what I ordered, AGAIN. As I am up on the counter I see one lonesome bag sitting there which means it was there all along. She goes to the back and returns empty handed instead of plating a fresh dish and proceeds to hand me the same bag up there on the counter which is now cold. No apology no discount no customer service no nothing. Ate the food and it was not NOT WORTH NO HOUR WAIT. I was so mad. Very very awful service. You have one job to ring customers and hand out food. How do you let one bag sit there knowing you also have a customer waiting on something !!!!!! Wouldn’t recommend,...
Read moreIt was a lazy Sunday, and neither my husband nor I had any intentions of cooking. So we went in search of comfort food. Jamaican food. Aunt I’s came to mind. The entire experience there was pleasant.
We were welcomed by a nice chap who was very patient as I took my time trying to figure out what would be agreeable to my sensitive stomach and palate. I ordered the stew peas and rice, and requested more salad than rice. My husband ordered the fried chicken with rice and peas.
Our meals were excellent. Well prepared and just what we wanted for a comfort meal. My stew peas had both beef and pigs tail; perfectly seasoned and well-blended. The salad, fresh. And as requested, I received more salad than rice.
My husband expressed approval of his meal, as well. It was on point 👍🏽🔥.
We also had a slice of rum cake and fruit cake. To which the young man advised me not to eat the rum cake and drive 😂. I appreciated the advice. The cakes were delish.
The layout of the restaurant is also lovely. Great place to take business associates, out-of-towners, family and friends.
Thank you. Great customer service and food....
Read moreI read the reviews and still decided to give it a try. I am currently waiting for my food so this review has nothing to do with the food yet.... But this lady's lacefront must be too tight. I walked thru the door right pass her and she did not greet me she grabbed the broom and began to sweep around my feet as I made my way to the counter ( this is like 11ft from the door ) she then let's me stand there until she finishes sweeping walks around and just looks at me. I greet her because I was raised with manners she doesn't return the greeting. I've been craving oxtail all day so I suck up my feelings to place my order. She takes my order with an attitude and almost looked like she expected me to leave her a tip. I'm from the real south Louisiana born and Georgia raised so I'm used to good customer service. This will be my last time visiting here. Let us pray that the food is at...
