The Juicy Crab — Restaurant in Pembroke Pines

I previously had a great review for Juicy Crab but decided to change that after my experience yesterday. I come here on average about once every two weeks. Yesterday was the first time I visited and had a horrible experience. I believe this had a lot to do with the fact that the manager who is normally there when I go was not there. From the time my cousin and I stepped in, everything was bad. After the hostess asked us how many were in our group (2+ a baby) and asking for the name, she said to give her a moment. After standing for about 5 minutes and seeing her walk back and forth, we asked the guy at the front if she was coming back to seat us or if we had to wait. He said he didn’t know so we went to take a seat. We sat for about 15 minutes noticing that people who walked in after us were being seated. Another hostess came over and asked us if we were waiting to be seated and asked our names. It turns out that the other girl didn’t even put our party on the list. We were finally seated and the service was not good at all. It took a while for our server to come to our table and she was missing in action for most of our meal. When my crabs came I still had to wait an additional ten minutes for my sauce to come. My crabs ended up being over cooked and the garlic butter sauce was not good. I had to wait about another 15 minutes to spot the server and when I told her, she didn’t bother to ask if I wanted anything else nor did she apologize for the inconvenience, so I sat there and watched my cousin eat. I was so agitated that I didn’t even care to order anything else. After I got home, I was extremely nauseous and vomited over 4 times and it was definitely do to that nasty garlic butter. Needless to say, Juicy Crab will not see me for a while. I hope they get the other manager back in there because I can see this place going downhill...

Decided to check out this spot because of its positive reviews and my cravings for lobster. I will admit I was expecting something different, so I was slightly surprised to walk up to the hostess and hear music blasting and cantankerous laughter floating through the air. It's more of a bar feel than a restaurant feel, although, the music was good.

We opted to sit in the outer "patio" and was able to enjoy the the cool evening breeze while we decided what we wanted to purchase. The napkin holders and menus were very sticky and stained. But, our waitress was nice, although she strained to hear what we wanted over the din of the music and loud voices. They were not well stocked with the drinks (they didn't grey goose and only enough captain Morgan to make one drink).

We ordered $5 margaritas and the $15 fishbowl (with candy!) drinks with lobsters from the a la cart menu and the #1 from the combo menu. We also tried the juicy sauce which was well seasoned and tasty. Overall, the food and drinks were yummy.

I might take a page out of many of the patrons' books, who ordered their food, picked it up, and went home. It's definitely a place you'd want to attend to blow off some steam and have fun, but for a chill Thursday night dinner, this is...

Beware: Dishonest Waitstaff Alert!

My recent visit to Juicy Crab in Pembroke Pines left me feeling utterly betrayed and disheartened. What initially seemed like a pleasant dining experience turned sour when I discovered evidence of theft perpetrated by one of their waitresses.

Upon checking my bank statement, I noticed a glaring disparity between the amount I authorized for the tip on my receipt and the sum deducted from my account. It became painfully clear that the waitress had tampered with the receipt, altering the tip to her advantage.

The fact that I had concrete evidence in the form of the original receipt further compounds the severity of this matter. It's alarming to think that such deceitful practices could occur under the roof of a seemingly reputable establishment.

Potential diners, beware! I implore you to scrutinize your receipts and bank statements after dining here. The integrity of their staff is evidently questionable, and unsuspecting patrons like myself may fall victim to their deceptive schemes.

Until they take decisive action to rectify this issue and restore trust in their establishment, I strongly advise against patronizing this establishment. Your hard-earned money deserves to be spent in places where honesty and...
