Moe Phở - Noodles & Cafe — Restaurant in Pendleton

My family and I stopped here for lunch on the way back home from visiting family. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful with my egg and gluten allergy issues. We sat outside at the only shaded spot, despite the extreme heat, as we had our little dog with us. They voluntarily brought out a bowl of water for her, which I very much appreciated. They also made sure to keep on top of our waters, which is rare at most eateries and appreciated.

My husband and daughter ordered Pad Thai...as they always do. I ordered the Cambodian street noodles, with rice pasta swapped in as apparently the yellow noodles are gluten. I wanted something more authentic and unique as this was an ethnic food spot. The photo and description sounded very appealing. The reality was I saw four very small slices of zuchini in my pile of noodles with tofu. I found two broccoli florrets...just two and they were about one to one and a half inches in diameter...not especially large to make up for only two. There was a decent amount of tofu...just very, very little veg and veg is why I ordered this dish. The other ding is I have no idea what sauce was used but I suspect salt water or the like as the only flavor I could taste was salt. It was extremely salty. Even my kid, who can handle a lot more salt, said the Pad Thai was a bit salty as well.

I ordered one plate of the Pad Thai for my SO and daughter to share and it was more than enough. I ended up bringing mine home, as it was easily three servings of noodles, even if not much else. I do appreciate the veg I did see was very fresh and good quality. I wanted at least three times the zucchini and broccoli however. I didn't even see been sprouts at all. This isn't an expensive place, but it's not budget friendly either, so I don't think having enough veg to reflect the photo was asking all that much. Between this and the extreme salty quality, I won't be back...though I do still wish them well thanks to their helpfulness and attentiveness...

When I ordered my meal on their website for takeout it wasn’t until I received the confirmation that I noticed the meal wouldn’t be ready until the following day. I made the order after their cut off and didn’t realize it. So I called, the girl that answered the phone offered a refund. I asked if they could just make it the following evening so I could have it the next day for dinner. She said she would make a note and it would be done. The following day at 11:00 I received confirmation that the meal was done. When I called the guy that answered confirmed that the meals were ready for pick up. I told him the girl I called the night before said the meals wouldn’t be done until 7:00. He told me he could see her note and told me that they would prepare it at 7:00pm. I didn’t want them wasting two cooked meals so I said I we would just pick up the meals and eat then for lunch. My first kudos is, their customer service!! And my second Kudos was our meals. I always get the same ol thing. But this time I tried something I wouldn’t normally order and I’m glad I did because it...

We were on the road, pulled off to grab a warm meal. There was one couple there already eating, otherwise empty. We sat down and got water right away, asked for lemon which never came, then waited ... and waited ... and waited some more ...

Another 2 families came separate times and were sat at tables ... we continued to wait ... 15+ minutes later someone came to take our order (THEIR MENU IS VERY SMALL SO TAKES 2 MINUTES TO PICK) ... they didn't go to put that order in they walked over to slowly get the orders from the other families that came after us ... we waited another 5 minutes and realized we'd be there forever waiting for our food as the server was still taking the order from the second family and there was yet another after. We left!

We went to the Chinese restaurant 1 min away, were seated right away, brought water, asked for lemons, got them right away. Our order was taken in 2 minutes, menu was extensive and much cheaper. By the time I wrote this review my food came and the steamy goodness is ready...
