Please let the 5 star reviews speak for themselves and to all the 1 star reviews please remember this place just opened. Allow them some time to adjust hours, inventory, and menus. As with any new place they are ironing out any issues that come up. 1 star reviews significantly impact a business so please rethink before doing so.
Just because a business isn’t open when they were supposed to doesn’t warrant a bad review. Did you ask why they closed early? Maybe cause they had more customers than expected and ran out of meat. So order more you say. Did you know most new business don’t have a ton of free’d up money to let product just sit there for 2 weeks? They put all their capital into the nice equipment, lighting, tables and umbrellas u sit on, and the workers to cook your food. I was frustrated the night before because they closed early and I really wanted a cheesesteak. I decided to give them that 2nd chance and thank god I did!
Ray J’s cheesesteaks are amazing. It’s no longer warranted having to drive to Philly for a “decent” cheesesteak. I got the alpha with mushrooms added and husband got the alpha. Love love love the sesame seeded roll. You’re not gonna find that anywhere else! We went home to eat it and they were not soggy at all. Loaded with meat and had plenty of flavor. We go to Philly at least once a month and it’s always soggy, messy, and getting more expensive and less packed each time. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. You can order at a window outside or go inside for drinks and utensils. Tables and umbrellas outside for u to sit and eat. Great place give them a try or a second chance to make...
Read moreFrom my husband who is from Philly: I will forever go here for cheese fries if I'm in the area. Hands down best cheese fries in the area. Cheesesteak reminded me of the Papi corner stores in my area, so while is isn't a craft Cheesesteak, its still damn good for the area we live in now. Getting a place to do a triple cheese (that Cooper sharp!!!) is always going to be a bonus.
Desserts - expected a larger serving for the price but it is what it is. Would honestly pass on that but that's not what you're here for.
Mango juice was really good 👍🏾 again a nostalgic taste of Philly. Not sure if it tasted like mango but whatever it was it was delicious 😋
Looking forward to going back. If you come here, please leave a review, tell others, follow the social media, etc so we don't lose another good spot to eat!
Shoutout to Reema (hopefully I spelled your name correctly!) She has thee best personality and honestly thats about 70% of the deal for me when it comes to food. The reason why Chic a fila is so successful isn't because the food is immaculate, its because of that service and thats what we got here some amazing service...
Read moreNew Halal Cheesesteak shop on Rt. 13 in New Castle, just after the Rt. 40 split. I'm not a huge cheesesteak guy in the first place, but this may have made me a convert. The ribeye steak was juicy and mildly seasoned. The fries were real fresh cut potatoes, quite possibly the rose gold variety, still excellent. I ordered the "Alpha" which features cooper-sharp cheese, no "whiz" (though they offer whiz) , sautéed onions, and requested sautéed mushrooms as an add on. $15 for the steak, $5 for the fries, which seems to be typical for cheesesteak shops in 2025. The only drawback is that its location is a bit awkward due to traffic on the split and the limited parking. The food itself is great. It's run by a very pleasant and welcoming Palestinian family, so they definitely...
