Handel's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Pennsylvania

It feels like the atmosphere has changed. Went today for the first day of school for our usual of strawberry cheesecake parfait only to find they "don't to those anymore". I look, and most of the menu was gone. The kid taking my order was new, but did his hardest to accomodate my order for 4 (a hurricane, 2 strawberry cheesecake sundaes and a med waffle cone). For new he seemed to keep pace with everyone and was really nice and somewhat apologetic, so I tipped him personally. The atmosphere and menu chamges weren't his fault. We will still go back, but it looks as if so many of the things we usually chose Handel's for in the first place are gone, at least from our local store. Nothing special, nothing seasonal. Just ice cream that I can find many places, so only have need if im looking for specific flavors or few novelties...

Handel's has absolutely amazing ice cream and a large variety of flavors. However, tonight when we stopped to get ice cream I had ordered a banana split hurricane with no nuts and no cherries. Got home and started to eat the hurricane only to realize it's loaded with nuts and cherries and barely any strawberries and bananas :( I wasn't going to leave a review but the young lady who waited on us wasn't the friendliest in the sense she rolled her eyes at us often while we were deciding what to order/ordering which should have been my first clue the order was probably gonna be incorrect, but mainly just to warn people to check their orders especially if they have an allergy. Thankfully I just experienced disappoint from a wrong order, but it could have been much worse if I had a nut allergy....

Always enjoy going for ice cream at Handel’s but the last few times it’s been disappointing. I tried the buckeye ice cream since who doesn’t like that combination and was disappointed that there was only 2 Buckeyes in the entire cone. Returned a couple weeks later tried the same ice cream and got 3. Tonight I tried mint Oreo and I barely had a quarter teaspoon of crumbs. Has it really come to this point where your local places don’t even care about consistency in their products anymore. Come on it’s $11.66 for 2 waffle cones at least give your customers what they deserve. Your advertising picture shows Oreos bursting out of the ice cream is it too difficult to get what...
