We had a Thanksgiving Day dinner here today. I had an 11 am reservation. The first reservation of the day. Keep track of the times in my review as they are important. Also the meal was $18 per person for Adults.
It was a nice place with some good food but they have some things to work on.
Problem #1: We walked in at 10:55 am. There were already a few people seated. I told them I had a reservation at 11 am and gave them my name. They found a reservation with a different first name but same last name. Not a big deal as they sat us at a table by the window. The tables were kind of close to each other, which my friend complained about.
Problem #2: The server came and took our drink order. They have Pepsi products but no Mountain Dew. The server came back with a Pepsi for me and a Sierra Mist for my friend. His pop/soda was flat. He asked for a sweet tea instead.
The server then took our order. We ordered a starter, Meatballs with cranberry dipping sauce for an additional $10, and then we ordered our meals. I selected the roasted turkey breast, garlic mashed potatoes, pecan crusted sweet potato casserole and cornbread dressing. My friend ordered the turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed green beans and cornbread dressing. We ordered at 11:05 am.
Problem #3: They were giving tables some rolls to eat. All but two tables had rolls. We were one of those tables and we were there before the other tables that had rolls. 😥 We eventually did get rolls a few minutes later after the manager saw that we didnt have any.
Problem #4: We didn't receive our starter until 11:45 am, which was 40 minutes later. No apology for the delay was given. 😡
Problem #5: The meatballs with cranberry dipping sauce were meatballs with BBQ sauce already on them and then you could dip them in cranberry sauce, which doesn't make much sense as they already have sauce on them. 🤨 My friend can't have BBQ due to heart issues so he was disappointed that he couldn't eat them, so I ate them all. They were ok just by themselves. We saved the cranberry sauce for our meals. The main problem was there was only 8 meatballs. We spent $10 on 8 meatballs. 🤯 We could of bought a whole package of frozen meatballs for half the cost. They were just frozen meatballs, they weren't handmade. Also, they should have said they were in BBQ sauce on the menu. They should have served them plain since they wanted you to dip them in the cranberry sauce.
Problem #6: We received our main meal no less than 5 minutes after we got our starter. 🤔 We got our meal at 11:50 am, even though we ordered at 11:05 am. 45 minutes later. No apology for the delay was given. 😡
The main meal was pretty good. The turkey roast was good, the garlic mashed potatoes were good, the sweet potato casserole was really good and the cornbread dressing was good. My friend liked the turkey, he liked the mashed potatoes, he didn't really like the dressing and he said the green beans were cold.
No other problems after eating. We received our bill and paid for it at the counter. We tipped the server as she was good but there was just timing issues.
They should have set it up as a buffet style instead, that way people could have gotten their meals faster and they could turn tables over faster.
We were disappointed and probably won't be back for a meal. But we might come back for their bakery as they had alot of yummy baked goods in their display case. We would have gotten dessert there but we had a pumpkin pie with whipped cream calling our names at home already. 🥧🎃

Read moreI attended the Hocus Pocus brunch and my party consisted of seven people. The food was good, but not great. I ordered the “Graveyard Garden Hash” and I barely had any tomatoes and I didn’t see any onions, which was disappointing because I enjoy sautéed onions in an entree such as that.
The service was so, so, so slow. The server was either overwhelmed or inexperienced. She would ask us if we had what we needed and would leave prior to anyone being able to answer. People at my table had to ask for drinks, literally, four times. My water was never refilled. She never asked any of us if we needed a refill. I wanted to order a mimosa, but hung that up due to the slow service and lack of attention. The entrees came out at different times (close to ten minutes apart). We ordered the biscuit appetizer, which came with three different flavored jams, but no one told us the flavors nor were they labeled. One person in our party was missing one of the meats out of her entree. They tried to bring us the wrong food and drinks once as well.
One person in my party asked if the chicken and waffles entree came with regular maple syrup and she was told yes. That was incorrect as it came with a fruit flavored syrup. The server never came back, so she had to get up and take the food to the front counter where she was rudely informed she gets what it comes with. She explained what happened and was eventually brought another entree with regular maple syrup.
The small building was quite packed and it was clear the restaurant staff were in over their heads. There were people standing everywhere and we were eventually asked to check out so another party could have our table. I’ve literally never been asked to get up and leave. We received no itemized receipts and I was almost charged for two entrees instead of my one. A guest in my party is pretty sure she was incorrectly charged for three entrees instead of the two she ordered. Speaking of, one of her orders was a to-go order. When she double checked, prior to checking out, she was told it was ready. When we checked out she was told it was “almost ready.”
When I checked out I informed the cashier that the service was terrible. She apologized very quickly and said two people called out. She made no attempt to make it right or to ask for details so the restaurant management could try to make it right. They also added gratuity, but we didn’t realize until after we had paid, as there was no itemized receipt, we were not informed, and it was not on the menu.
Be prepared to wait, to not receive appropriate service, be overcharged, and not get what you...
Read moreThis place is astounding! I mean, I expected to find a nice bakery cafe, but it has gone way above my expectations the second I walked in and discovered the many unique things it has to offer. First off, the inside seating area is very cozy, and it feels homie to sit by the fireplace and enjoy the many decorations. It's gallantly furnished with an 1800s touch in the architecture, yet modern and comfortable to host large groups with a perfectly working AC unit and background music to enhance the decor theme. Adonna offers a wide variety of dishes suitable for lunch, breakfast, and brunch. They make a deliciously homemade butternut squash soup that I order every time. For tea parties, they bring a tower of various pastries and appetizers. The coffee menu is also very extensive. They would custom make your latte with your favorite syrup and milk - oat milk, almond milk, or regular. They also include cute designs in your foam with powdered cinnamon or cocoa. As a vegetarian, I am pretty pleased with the options, they have the Greek Goddess sandwich which I strongly recommend. They also have breakfast bowls that can be made vegan. As if this wasn't enough, the service is admirably the best I've encountered in town. They have made several cakes for me even when the timeline might be a bit tight, they try to make it work, never disappointing the quality of their work. The only downside that I can think of is the parking space. It is very small and the ramp has a deep pit which always scratches my car. That's beyond their property limits, but it...
