April 1st, 2019 It's Apr and they have new features. I picked the first one, Seared Blackened Tuna: sushi rice roll, seaweed salad, sesame vinaigrette, and wasabi cream sauce. The tuna tasted fresh, but the wasabi cream sauce lacked the wasabi flavor. The seaweed salad was decent and the sushi rice roll was ok. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- March 26th, 2019 This time I ordered the March's features Shrimp Scampi and Korean BBQ Tacos. The scampi was good with the shrimp, pasta and sauce coming together as a whole. The tacos were a bit underwhelming. Using fried wonton wrappers as taco shell was novel and gave it a distinctive taste and texture. The vegetable was fresh and tasty. But the meat as the main ingredient was nothing to write home about. The portion was also small. The Pear Ale was interesting. It has Grey Goose La Poire, St. Germain, fresh lime, and ginger beer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- March 18th, 2019 I came and tried The Palafox: Penne Pasta, Italian Sausage, Kalamata Olives, Spinach, Balsamic Reduction, Shaved Parmesan, Choice Of Creamy Tomato Basil, Roasted Garlic Olive Oil, Or Parmesan Cream Sauce. $13.95. The sausage was tasty and the parm cream sauce was decent, not too watery but could be a bit thickened. The pasta was good. Overall, the dish was decent and could use more olives and the sauce. I also had a Cucumber Cooler: Hendrick’s Gin, St. Germaine, Fresh Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Soda Water, Muddled Mint and Cucumber. It was $6.75 instead of $9.75 because of the happy hour (3-6pm M-F). While there were pieces of cucumber in the drink, the cucumber cool effect didn't really come through. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Feb, 2019 Meetup brought me here for a casual local small business meeting. They host the meeting here every Monday. The view is decent right by the dock. You can see all the boats and yachts right there. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. I had the bella mshroom stack. The mushroom was well seasoned and cooked. The risotto was decent, but lack the pesto taste. The tomato cream sauce was a good complement for the dish. It isn't too noisy and a large group will have to seat outside. It is a decent place to bring a date.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jaco's Bayfront Bar & Grille, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. The ambiance, the food, and the service all exceeded my expectations. However, what truly stood out to me was their support for local artists like myself. At Jaco's, they have a wonderful program that allows artists to display their art for a month at a time. This not only showcases the talent within the community but also adds a unique touch to the dining experience. I was fortunate enough to have my artwork displayed during my visit, and it was a fantastic opportunity to share my creativity with others. The staff at Jaco's were incredibly welcoming and supportive, and they made sure my artwork was displayed in the best possible way. They even organized an art reception event, allowing me to interact with patrons and discuss my inspiration and techniques. It was a delightful evening of mingling with fellow art enthusiasts and receiving valuable feedback. Aside from their commitment to promoting local artists, Jaco's also excelled in other areas. The food was exceptional, offering a diverse menu with a fusion of flavors that tantalized my taste buds. The presentation was impeccable, and the portion sizes were generous. The staff were attentive, providing prompt service and ensuring that every need was met. The bar and grille's location by the bayfront added to the overall charm. The scenic views and relaxed atmosphere created a perfect backdrop for enjoying a delicious meal and appreciating art. Whether you're visiting for a romantic dinner or a casual gathering with friends, Jaco's Bayfront Bar & Grille is a superb choice. In conclusion, I highly recommend Jaco's Bayfront Bar & Grille to both art enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Their support for local artists is commendable, and their dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience is evident in every aspect. Pay them a visit, enjoy the art, savor the flavors, and immerse yourself in the warm and welcoming ambiance.

We went on a Sunday a little after 2:15 PM and didn’t wait for too long probably 15 minutes to get seated. We were seated at a table next to the door which was opened every 15 seconds. So it was kind of distracting. I asked the usher if she could check to see if they are able to put us to a different table. She told us those may be reserved and we probably have to wait. I didn’t see any reserved sign on any of the empty tables by the water. So I asked her nicely if she can check and let us know. She literally vanished and didn’t even come back. We then asked our waitress and then she had us change the table. That was very nice of her. We were told they have a very limited menu between 2 PM to 3 PM and we missed the brunch menu options. We literally had 5 things to choose from and some flatbreads options. I ordered the southwest salad with shrimp and my wife ordered a margherita flatbread with crab. The food was really mediocre. It lacked flavor. The waitress was busy and wasn’t paying much attention. The salad was dry and when asked for a dressing, I was told it had dressing in it. So ended up not asking extra dressing since it is an “inconvenience” for the server/waitress. The customer next to our table was served the dinner menu with more food options which we were not given. The restaurant has a nice waterfront ambience and has a great potential but unfortunately it wasn’t the case for us. I wish I could give the same 5 star reviews as some of the customers in here but we had a completely different experience altogether. We don’t live in Pensacola but we do come back here once in a while but unfortunately we will not come back to this restaurant in the future. We will take our business elsewhere.

If you find yourself in downtown Pensacola, Florida, make sure to stop by Jaco’s Bayfront Bar & Grille for an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the beautiful historical part of town, with a stunning marina and harbor view, this spot offers more than just great food – it's an ambiance you won't soon forget. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the sight of open water and breathtaking sunsets, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. And speaking of dining, the cuisine at Jaco’s is nothing short of spectacular. The green fried tomatoes and homemade guacamole & salsa with fresh chips are absolute must-tries, bursting with flavor and made with care. Their flatbread, featuring thin crust and locally sourced ingredients, is a delightful treat for the taste buds. And let's not forget about the fantastic happy hour from 3-6pm, offering delicious bites and cocktails to unwind after a long day. But what truly sets Jaco’s apart is their exceptional service, led by Pete, who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest leaves with a smile. From custom-made dressings to personalized recommendations, the attention to detail here is unmatched. Kudos to the management team, including the GM and Roland, for fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience exceeds expectations. With its friendly staff and customer-oriented approach, Jaco’s Bayfront Bar & Grille is a shining gem in downtown Pensacola. Cheers to unforgettable moments and delicious cuisine! Best kept secret Canolli Mac n cheese ask Roland.

Would normally not come in here for dinner simply because my wife and I are vegan but I thought we'd try and find something on the menu because this location is the best in the Pensacola downtown (overlooking the bay from the Pensacola Pier) Wasn't disappointed. We had the chips and salsa, three orders of regular fries (Pomme Frites) and the fried artichokes. The waiter (Robby G) and the chef (Austin) both KNEW what it meant to be vegan so we were reasonably confident that we could be safe to order. Austin the chef prepared the artichokes without their traditional egg white preparation. Results: The salsa and chips were good, the fries were small like shoestring and crisp - very tasty (however vegans beware because we later found out that they are fried in the same oil as other non-vegan items on the menu), and the artichokes were tasty. For drinks I'd definitely recommend the Pecan Old Fashioned (very pecan forward) and the French Manhattan (you can taste the chambord in it). We also ordered the Cucumber Cooler which my wife found to be refreshing. Great value for the money overall. A very friendly and helpful staff. A special mention about our waiter Robby G - he was friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and attentive - all the qualities you want in a waiter. Would definitely recommend to all non-vegans. It's a shame though that there weren't more vegan options available as if there were this would be a regular hangout for us.

Where to start? Food, staff, scenery? Jaco's has it ALL! Let's start with the stuff 90% of you want to read about: The food. We had the crab cakes appetizer. THE BEST CRAB CAKES WE'VE EATEN! This should be all you need to read but I'll elaborate. Lump crab, not the shredded stuff many restaurants use. Lumps mixed with just enough 'mix' to hold them in place. Not greasy and full of bread crumbs so they look bigger. Just yummy crab seared to a light crunch top and bottom. My husband had the salmon on a bed of potatoes. I chose the flatbread veggie pizza. We cleared our plates. We never do that. He said the potatoes were cooked and seasoned perfectly. My pizza had plenty of veggies in every bite. I decided to try a raspberry lemonade cocktail. Fresh berries in a lemony drink that popped with flavor. We couldn't resist ordering dessert to go. Drunken Berries topped with whipped cream and a mint sprig for me. Key Lime pie for him. We devoured them when we got home an hour later. Our server nailed it! She timed every stop effortlessly. We never had to flag her down. Do I really need to describe the scenery? Waterfront while watching the America's Cup boat practicing in the harbor. Very fun! I only took a picture of the crab cakes because, after that, we were too excited to dig into the next course. Eat here. Just...eat here.
